It'll sell well in Europe with no Kirby around.

3DS Code 2578-3122-0744

Talk about jinxing it.

It'll sell well in Europe with no Kirby around.

We do get A Shadows Tale, however - a high rating inventive platformer in its own right.
We get it 6 months before the US too.

I was watching some footage of A Shadows Tale the other day and it looks fantastic.

Can't wait for this. Smilie
Preorded the special edition (one with the golden CC Pro). Won't be using the CC for this though, since FPS control better with Wiimote and Nunchuck.

Eurogamer only gave it a 5/10 (I'm talking about Shadow's Tale), which seems awfully low. However, I wish it were a Wiiware game since a full release seems too much for just an interesting concept game.

Youre forgetting Donkey Kong Country returns.

We also have Epic Mickey, wiimote plus bundles with wii sports resort and flingsmash, probably a big push for wii party xmas sales, super mario collection and NBA Jam, definately say this will be the last big holiday of the wii, dont think the lineup will be half as good next year

Publisher in 'our game will sell well' news story shocker. Still, I'll probably give it a look, just for old times sake...

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

Hudsons game isn't even a blip on the radar of most Wii owners, it will have no impact what so ever on the sales of this game.

I'm not. Donkey Kong Country Returns doesn't have the mass market appeal that Kirby's Epic Yarn has. DK will sell among fans primarily, while Kirby will sell to everyone who owns a Wii. It will dwarf the sales of every game released next year in Europe.

Epic Mickey will sell well this Christmas, but it's sales won't be anywhere near on par to GoldenEye's. It will sell well going into 2011 with good Disney promotion behind it. It's a Disney made evergreen title.

I wasn't talking of sales effects, merely countering that we are getting a (probably) good platformer much earlier and people waiting should buy that instead.

I must admit I just read the IGN review that loved it and wasn't aware of the others. But theres still barely any reviews about it at all so maybe the jurys still out.

What makes you think Kirby is a bigger IP then DK? Or that is has mass appeal?
Kirby certainly looks a more interesting, innovative game - but that doesn't correspond to sales.
And I certainly don't see it dwarfing "every game released next year in europe".

No one knows which will sell better, until the figures are released.

I would laugh if Squidboy were wrong. I know, I'ma big meanie. :3

Who said Kirby was a bigger IP than DK?, I haven't said that, IP have little to do with this matter. The title, "Kirby's Epic Yarn", will sell far more than any other game next year in Europe, because unlike others it will appeal to the family centric gaming audience in Europe a great deal. It will also appeal to a large number of couples given the gameplay style. It's audience will include a significant number of women too, the game is currently being promoted in women's magazine's all across America, and will no doubt have similar promotion here in Europe.

It's inventive art style and theme will charm the masses and create a very productive media buzz surrounding it. DKR is incapable of receiving a similar reaction.

Just wait and see, it'll be Nintendo's NSMBW for 2011, even outselling Zelda SS, mark my words /

why?
Because of co-op? DK is co-op too :?

As for art-style it rocks.
But so does A Shadows Tale, Okami, Boy and his Blob, Night Game...and probably dozen more titles. Good art, sadly, does not correlated to good sales.

So it will do better because its being promoted more?
Fair enough - but thats a self for-filling profacy and little to do with the game itself.

It's piss easy - you cannot die.

No, it'll do better because it's the type of game that appeals to a much wider audience.

@Mush - 20 stars if I'm right

They're hardly going to announce that one of their upcoming games won't do very well.

Sure. Smilie You'll probably be right anyways. xD
