Nah, that was Ricardo Fuller who plays for Stoke City, he slapped his captain Andy Griffin in the face on pitch. Got sent off, 3 match ban and the club will likely fine/transfer him out.

fuller has been fined 2 weeks wages but i doubt they will sell him hes to important to stoke
Yeah stoke aren't that bigger club they need all the help they can get. Personally i would have suspended him for a while, or left it upto andy griffing. I think thats the club captain.
Iol @ Fuller, and @ Gerrard
lmao that was a beautiful result today. I think it was absolutely priceless Benitez going off on one yesterday, claiming that we, Manchester United & SAF are 'nervous' that Liverfool are top of the league, i believe SAF has got under his skin & now Benitez looks like a right cunt after yet another abysmal performance. Best day of the year so far, although it is an early year. Infact its made my weekend that hes had a 4minute rant, how were running scared and his amazing team of Gerrard and 10 nobodys then Gerrard Torres and 9 nobodys dont perform again. Wonderful.
We can now afford to lose to Chelsea, win the remaining 2 games in hand and still only be 3 points off the top of the league, better yet we can afford to draw with Chelsea and be 2 points off the top or EVEN BETTER we can beat Chelsea, win the remaining two league games and go TOP.
I gotta admit Rafa i'm running scared. Soon to be Rafael Benethus Again...
Seeing as Newcastle had a lack of fit first team players I'm pretty pleased with a draw against West Ham. Would be an old boy that scored against us though, eh?
damn Villa are 5points from the top! Even if Man United win their 3 games in hand then Villa would still be 6 points behind.
Can villa keep this up? Futhermore, the bottom half of the table just keeps getting tighter than the average jew!
Perfect result for man united and chelsea 2moro would be a draw! Gotta dream now! Just gotta dream!
I've realized that Liverpool never win if I stumble into the house later than about 1. Every single fecking time I come in and start frantically searching for the result - I'm dissapointed.
Though by the looks of the starting team, Rafa brought it on himself. Dirt Kuyt up front = blunt instrument. No Ryan Babel and Robbie Keane in a game where Torres isn't match-fit and Gerrard is sub-par = default fail. Learn these rules Rafa, and maybe you'll let Liverpool have a chance.
Still think we'll be up there or there abouts, but that was certainly not a League Champion's performance.
Villa are doing brilliant i sincerely hope you stay in the top 4 in place or Arsenal. Anyway time to shoot or im gonna be late for the match - come on you reds!
BUMP!!!!
Are you watching? ARE you watching? ARE YOU WATCHING MERSEYSIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ARE YOU WATCHING MERSEYSIDEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

you\'ve been awful this year so far, very very lucky you\'re top,if liverpool have been awful, then so have chelsea and man u and all the teams below them. they have been the best of the bunch thats why they are sitting top!

INFACT ill have a stars sidebet that Liverpool wont be top of the league when the Champions league restarts...Anybody?after looking at the fixtures, ill take that bet. thats in 6 games time, 7 for man u. chelsea play both man u and liverpool away and they go to aston villa. neither man u or liverpool will win every game till CL starts back so i think the odds are good
Looks like i\'m going to be collecting quite a few stars soon come on everton
fucking hell, stoke are flaming useless and so are bolton! God sake!
hahah, bottom 5 teams are separated by goal difference! and so are the four teams above them of which they are separated by 2 points from the bottom 5! unbelievably close!
West Ham won 3-1 , now we're 8th which is pretty good, also 8 points off the relegation zone. I reckon another 3 wins will secure us safety, next game's against Hull though, then there's aresnal and Manchester Utd.
Still 8th in the table at this point in the season is pretty good.
I'm suprised that spurs only managed to draw, but then that's a good thing
Top of the table where we belong
Cam someone explain this?
Do the top 4 teams of the Premier League go on to the Euro Tournament (or whatever it's called)?

Yeah, you kinda got the jist, The top 4 teams at the end of the season from the premier league get to compete in the champions league the next season, this in turn brings in more revenue for the teams and attracts more top players from around the world to play for the top 4 teams.
And people say the big 4 are liverpool, man u, arsenal and chelsea?
So have they got through like every year?
I'm gonna just learn this bit of football so I can pretend to know stuff when the topic of football is brought up in a conversation...which is like always.
They've been the top four for about 5 years running (not counting when everton got in) and it used to be the top 3 that got it (or the top 2) and it Would usually be man utd and Arsenal and one team that finished behind them (could be anyone to be honest).
This year looks to stir things up a bit with Aston Villa being in with a very good chance, which is about time to be honest, the big four have been the big four for tooo long.
Yea, basically the European spots are what all players are looking for these days.
1st and 2nd places get automatic places the UEFA Champions league.
3rd and 4th have to qualify in two rounds of matches (against teams from other countries) and if they win then they go through to the same stage that 1st and 2nd got too. However if they lose they go through to a UEFA Cup spot, which is aquired from a premier league team finishing 5th, or by winning the two domestic cups (FA and League Cup, either of which can be therorectically won by any team in the football league)
There are technicalities however, for example if one of the top 5 teams win the one of the domestic cups or both. Then the runner up of the domestic cup will be placed into the UEFA cup. Also if a 5th placed team wins the cup then the opportunity will be passed on to 6th place or the next place in the league that hasnt already qualified for Europe
They can also get in through the Fifa Fair play league in which is a table of the premier league teams that consist of fouls/yellow cards/red cards in a season. The team with the least tends to gain a qualification spot in the UEFA Cup.
Finally there is a entry route known as the Inter-toto cup which is basically a place in the premier league that has to go through one competition to enter the UEFA cup. This is how Aston Villa gained entry to the UEFA cup this year.
However they are scrapping the UEFA cup after this year, re-working the structure and calling it the EUROPA Cup.
Typically a premier league table on average would look like this by the end of a season
1.Manchester United
2.Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4.Liverpool
5.Everton
6.Tottenham
7.Aston Villa
8.Portsmouth.
9.Manchester City
10.Newcastle
11. West Ham
Bottom half of the table tends to be fairly muddled these days, although Newcastle tend to finish within the 5th-8th bracket.
Anyway, Villa and Everton have been pushing the top four a lil more so in recent seasons. Tottenham was also highly rated by pundits but god knows why....
so it's
UEFA champions 1st-4th
UEFA cup 5th,"clean" and "intertoto"
and
Premier league 20 teams
first division 20 teams
second division 20 teams
etc....
?
Premier League is 20 teams, Championship & So on isn\'t, theres more than 20, In the championship anyway. It\'s hard to explain. www.skysports.com/football check that out for all the information you need on any such clubs etc. Also you could check out the eufa website for european club football etc..

My word of the week is....
MIIIIIIIIDDDOOOOOOOOOOO
Villa missed out on a cracking opportunity today to really get in the top end of the premiership, how upsetting.
I'm glad west ham got a draw out of today's game, I was worried we were going to let one in. I also wanted Villa to win, can't believe they didn't score.
