Kuju Pleased with Japanese BWii Sales [news]

The first BW was seen to be a success, but this sequel's done amazing so far considering the 'Wars' franchise has lost a lot of strength in Japan over the years (sadly). I wouldn't be surprised if Kuju is already hard at work on a DS version...they've previously stated an interest, so I don't see why not.

Wouldn't that be weird considering Battlion Wars is suppose to be a spinoff of Advance Wars? Technically, there already is a DS version out(or two for that matter).

I guess though, the biggest difference in the franchises are that the gameplay would be in realtime which I'm all for!

This is great news. Hoping for a BW3 with a strong online system.

It's just a shame that so few people here in the US know about this game. While it has its flaws, it's still a blast to play.

I picked it up last week ($9.89 at EBGames!!!) and my son has not stop playing it since (except for the half day he was gounded for playing it and not loading the dishwasher like he was supposed to be doing).

He says it is his new favourite game.
