Latest Purchases

With my stars from the alt Club Nintendo accounts I have, I've managed to order 6 sets of 2 Kid Icarus AR Card packs. Which means a total of 12 packs and a total of 72 cards.

Plus the 6 I got with the game itself and it comes to a total of 78. You may think I'm a bit overkill, but I never buy anything with the stars on my alt accounts and there's not really anything worth buying at 1000 or so stars. So yeah.

My main account is what I use to buy worthwhile items. Like the SNES Classic Controller which I'm currently waiting for.

Where do you guys find the time to play all these games?

My life organisation skills are so bad, it's unbelievable.

I don't. I pick up bargains when I see them, especially if I know they aren't likely to hit that price again. Slowly but surely I squeeze in game time when I can, but more often than not my collection builds quicker than I beat them. I rarely buy games brand new at launch now, so what I do buy is cheap. I always wonder how people do it, too, but I don't think everyone has a full time job here, so I'm envious.

Pre-ordered this for now since I saw a German re-release for it at only €21. Really couldn't resist at such a price considering how much original copies usually go for. Finding a copy of the original ToS for the Gamecube at a decent price is going to be a pain though...

PS: Awesome, yet another C3 member who's getting Kid Icarus. We really need to get some C3 online matches going at some point.

I also got the original Onimusha (~€1)and Devil May Cry (~€2.50). And I've only just released that they're all Capcom titles. Oh how the greats have fallen.

Off hand, does anyone know if there is much difference between the original Resident Evil 2 and the DualShock version? Besides the obvious, of course.

Good buys. I still need to finish Onimusha. DMC is a blast.

RE2 DualShock featured rumble feedback and analogue stick support, even though it wasn't true analogue and acted digitally. Plus an unlockable Extreme Battle Mode with Chris and Ada, and Arranged Mode which was practically an easier version of the main game, apparently.

I am yet to ever finish the first Onimusha, it was too difficult for me as a child. DMC, along with DMC3, are some of my favourite games. The real reason I bought that version though was because it came with a soundtrack CD, and the original game had some killer music, pardon the pun.

Ahh, if that's the case, I might skip out on it. I won't pass it up if I see it cheap, but it doesn't sound that much different.

I've been dying to buy Killer7, but I only found it once on GC and it was about ~€47, so I passed up on it.

You got a PS2? You're still in Japan, right? The game is cheap as chips on CEX for PS2, but I don't know if they ship to Ireland/Japan/wherever you are atm! But it's one of the best games I've played from the PS2/GC generation, so hopefully you can bag it cheap eventually.

Just realised I put RE GC down twice, that was a mistake. I'm still in the Orient for another 5 months, so I'm trying to stock up on 'study material' for when I'm home. Yeah, I already own it on PS2, but I played it originally on the GC and was looking to have my own copy. To this day, I still love that controller.

But apparently a CEX store has opened in Dublin city center, the first in the country, so I'll make sure to check it out when I'm back. Finding decent PS2 generation games in Ireland these days has been a pain. Thanks for the suggestion!

I got my Killer 7 copy on GC for just 5€, brand new and sealed, thanks to a local store going into clearance sale. The PS2 version was for 10€ though. They had a couple real bargains at the time but I already had most of what they had left (for example Eternal Darkness was also sold for 5€, sealed)

22€ on ebay, shipping included. Been on the lookout for a copy of this that wasn't over 50€ ship. incl. so I'm quite pleased with the price .

About €8 is way too much for a normal set of playing cards, but these are worth every penny!

3DS battery :

User feedback on the Nintendo-Life forums was generally favorable about this specific model. It doesn't bring the increase in battery life that you would expect from a 5000mAh, but still increases it by approx. 250%, which is not negligible. The major complain was that it "feels" cheap in the way the back cover is designed. Also some people complained about the bulk it adds to the system, but I have no complains about that. If anything I find the system too slim for my hands to begin with (I've grown used to playing with a DS Phat for 6 years so I'd actually like it to feel bigger in my hands).

Far East of Eden II: Manjimaru. Last time I tried to import that one, the package arrived empty and someone had stolen the contents. Hopefully this time, I won't have that problem.
