Yeah, like it says up there is broken! Smilie

I mean it just have one year and a couple of months and it dies...well...not exactly.

While I wasn't home my brother played Bully. While he was playing the Wii shut down by itself. He turned it ON again and the sick message:

"The disc can't be read. Push the EJECT button and turn off the console. For more information read the Wii Operations Manual."

He took the manual and did what it says:

"...unplug the AC adapter from the wall and from the console..."

"...check the CD and look for markings...clean it...etc"

"...after 5 minutes connect the AC adapter and turn the console on..."

And then, the sick message again! The he kept reading:

"...If the message appears again, the console could be damaged..."

And then when I got home he told me and I was like "No way!". But he was right.

Anyhoo I found a place where they can probably fix it and it will be open tomorrow at 10:00am so I hope it's fixed when I get home but if it isn't I'll have to wait for repairs or buy a new one.

For now NO MORE BRAWLS this week...I could cry Smilie

shit that sucks man.. won't Nintendo just fix it for free?

Wow, sorry to here that, it\'s weird, i\'ve had my wii since launch and i\'ve dropped it, even down the stairs,(not on purpose) and it hasn\'t broken, i\'d even say it runs a bit better.

Actually my Wii was being really weird ages ago: freezing on channels, screen going crazy so much so thatt I had to switch it off via the plug. It's okay now though Smilie

Ok, ok...The guy said maybe it's a lens problem so that's why is not running.

On the other hand, the channels and the rest of the data, configuration, internet and message works fine...but I haven't heard of someone having fun and playing hours and hours with the channels Smilie

I'm just sad I can't play Brawl Smilie.

Same thing happened to mine. It\'s currently getting fixed by Nintendo (hopefully). And its only 6 months old

Have you tried putting a gamecube disc in?

Damn! Well my wii seems to have messed up too! When I try and eject my American Brawl, I need to turn of the console and press the eject when turning back on. Only happens with Brawl though... but my Wii hasnt been damaged, top shape!

My pictures wont appear so heres a smiley

if there is a problem with it then nintendo should either give you a new one or repair it for free. But just see if any of the cords have come loose or if the lens is a bit dusty then that can cause a slight glitch to not make it work. But try out everything that you can think of and if none of that will work then just ship it off to nintendo for a repair or replacement.

I think it's trying to read the Brawl disc continuously, so best bet is to turn off -> eject, or hit reset and do it before the main menu if you want to keep playing.

I think they charge for repairs if it's over a year old though...

i dropped mine a while back and it craked a little. now i cant hit the power button on the console so i have to use the remote, and when i play gamecubed games i have to unplug the wii from the back

just two days ago i was playing the coin shoot on brawl and when it went rapid fire the game froze and started buzzing loudly. panicking, i pulled the plug and havent turned it back on since. im gonna try to play again and hope it works.
cross your fingers!

This is phil. If your conciousness must absolutely intrude upon mine, leave a message.

Maybe if we all stop talking about it, it will all go away.....

Or not. I'm glad the virus hasn't hit my machine.

Well...it's gone Smilie. They will charge me 40 dollars if it needs repairs. They said I dropped it 'cause it has a tiny scratch on the left side but I know I didn't drop it! [maybe it was my brother Smilie].

They'll call tomorrow if it needs repairs...if not I'll have to say good bye to my memory and pass all the games from start Smilie.

Smilie I need my Wii!

That's what you get for playing SSBB before us!!

But yeah, that sucks. Smilie

Oh man, that sucks. Udkedae we never even got a chance to fight. I hope they can repaire your wii.

Hopefully it'll be a quick fix! Good luck - doesn't sound too big, hopefully, and they'd be able to ship it back soon. If not, keep pestering them till you get the baby back in yer hands!

It\'s that intro sequence that initiates it.

I know what this is about because I get it from using the Freeloader also.

When you finish with import Brawl and go to the Wii menu screen, wait, do not press anything, at that point a error screen pops up and you can safely eject Brawl and turn off the console.
