Picking up my paycheck today.

And it's going to be mighty hard not to waste at all on this. Smilie

Boss two = rockage. I'd seen it already, but it's much fun. The game's getting better...hope it keeps improving.

Also, is it just me or do the Space Pirates look great in this game? So much better than the ones in the 'Cube Primes IMO.

People who think MP2 sucked, are penisheads.

I will be picking this little bad boy up tommorrow day. Though i doubt it can topple the best game of last generation, in Metroid Prime.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

There's loads of variations aswell. The worst have to be the phazon infused ones that do about 10 damage per hit.

Anyway, I'm feeling guilty and slightly groggy after an 8 hour session of MP3. Everytime I said I was going to come off, I thought I'd do "just a little more" or "just do this bit and then save it before starting a new planet". Never mind that SkyTown is an absolute nightmare to get around...

Now got 15 friend tokens if anyone's interested or set their WFC up for token sending/receiving.

& you smell. Smilie

Anyway, been watching my bro play it a lot, not showing any signs of letting me play (Smilie) it looks a lot more fun.

Here's my opinion, not enough cut-scenes & voice acting. PROPER Metroid games have WAYYY more. & way more Halo wannabe commander guys too.

Also, MP3C features a blatent contradiction to the Metroid chronology. Smilie ALREADY. Samus is taking orders from someone, & we all know that he's not Adam. Smilie

EDIT: Craig, my bro sent you a token ^^

So, if 2 players use the same Wii, then do both players get the token sent to them?

You know, I'm not entirely sure. You send the tokens to friends on your Wii Friend list but I don't know if the tokens are all tallied together for one console.

Well, you can't have different Wii Friend codes for 2 users of the same console... so one would assume all users get it, especially since you choose the Mii you use to represent someone in your address book.

Just to check, Craig, you prolly use my Mii to represent my Wii in the address book, so if the Mii is different on your MP3 list, then it may be because my bro is the only one with a file right now (& he chose his grey haired character to represent his file)

So, unless you send it to all users of a Wii, then you might send it to the file, indicated by the Mii it shows. Dunno though.

Very handy that Nintendo have the choice to use Wii Friends for contacts, or Mii codes. Defo better than what we initially thought would be entirely similar to the DS' friend code system.

It says in the game that if a friend's name is in black then they have a save file in the game. The one named SuperLink (with your Mii) isn't black even though your brother is using the same Wii code.

I'll check again later to see if I have received it and then we know what's happening.

Hmm? That's weird... when I played, the only one without a black name was you (it was white), & I knew you had the game. Wait, is there a difference between black name & grey name? Or did you just get them mixed up?

Still, if you send my Wii a voucher, & we (my & my bro) both get it, then I guess we'll know. I'll hopefully start my file sometime. o.o

Perhaps 480p through component onto a 22" Samsung HDTV makes the text darker? Smilie
Have you confogured WFC settings in Extras in the main menu? You're still blanked out on my Wii and I haven't got the voucher.

I liked Metroid Prime 1 & 2, but found them a bit too hard. I'm rubbish at them and wish i could have got all the way through. I got right to the final boss on 1 and couldn't beat it.Smilie

Hmm... that's weird... Your name is white on our list. I'm pretty sure we don't need to configure it, since we've already done that from our Wii Menu. Do you need to do it again?

i'm loving this game at the mo, not too far in on bryon or something. but i have no wii friends to swap friends vouchers with.... what a terrible state of affairs. if anyone can help a fella out would be most appreciated.

ridley was cool.

Got the game to day, so far it's kicking MP1 and 2's ass, hopfully the pace won't slow up.

I'm still on planet Norian just met up with the big robot hunter telling me to go to the other power core or somthin.

I was surprised about the visor changing controls, I was under the impression you held down the - button then flicked the controller up which sounded a bit crap so i'm glad thats not the case Smilie.

Also the way they integrate the Wii List into the game it self makes me wonder why can't other online games do this, even just for the purpose of sending people your friend code for that particular game.

Oh well so far so good but...I gotta go to work Smilie

Oh and I bought Zeldas collectors edition for GC for a fiver today just for majoras mask...I know it's buggy but I saw it and thought ah fuck it I'll get it too.

Smilie just got my ships some big guns lol trying to find Smilie but some of the flying one got me <_< i most had killed 20 and they didt stop coming lol so got killed ill try later on lol

I'm getting Majora's Mask on VC, since the GC version is really glitchy & crashes all the time. Mine does anyway.

I still havn't had a chance to play it, might get to soon though Smilie

Got it today, just past the first boss, seems great and the controls seem to have literally no learning curve.

So far so good. Smilie

Yeah you need to enable the game to use WFC. To do that, go into the Extras bit in the main menu then to Configure WFC settings. Select yes and then confirm.

I don't really have the cash to spare. But I'm seriously tempted because I haven't bought a game since launch - I've got some catching up to do!

Basically, I didn't enjoy Prime 1 & 2 a lot. Mainly because it felt incredibly isolated at times, the backtracking was annoying and there was a lack of real defining action scenes. I've heard the story/cut-scenes have been improved for this one.

I guess what I'm asking is, once you've got over the controls - is this pretty much exactly the same as the other Primes?

Tom Barry [ Reviewer - Editor - Resident Sim-Racer @ Cubed3.com ]

There's alot more direction in these ones and more concentrated fighting parts. That being said, there's still large amounts of backtracking and you are best to scan everything in a room to get the most enjoyment out of the game.

Mario Galaxy > Metroid Prime. If you only have enough money for one of them, it should be Galaxy. Smilie

Soundworks, if you didn't like Metroid Prime 1 or 2, don't get this. I think it's an amazing game so far, but if you didn't like the first two don't buy it. It won't be worth your while. It's a little more action-y, but it's still Prime.

I've done the third boss now, that was fun. I'm in the middle of the first back-tracky bit though, joy...

How do you see what friend vouchers you have to give out and your 'achievements' - are they in the extras menu? I'll have to add a couple of you. Smilie

Only got round to playing it an hour so far, beat the second boss, and Mason was right it was pure rockage.

However in true Metroid fashion i am stuck on the planet were i have just landed and i have no idea how to get passed some part. Smilie

Havn't played much of it so far, but I must say it's really good. Maybe even excellent. I love the controls, better than first 2 games by far, & the story, in comparison with MP1 & 2, is awesome. & it sounds like it'll only get better. I don't like the Hunters, & the Federation smells of Halo wannabe, but seeing them get pwnd by Space Pirates & Phazon a little bit makes it all worthwhile Smilie

Space Pirates FTFW. Smilie

I've lost count of what boss I'm on, but I'm thinking I'm around halfway through now. I think it was boss eight. I'm surprised the boss a couple before that didn't give me RSI. Fun, though.

A couple of my play sessions, I've completely lost myself and not even realised I've been playing for 3 hours continuously. That's not happened to me for a bit; last time was Crackdown, before that it was Resident Evil 4, before that it was probably the first Metroid Prime. Considering those are three of my favourite games ever...yeah, I'd say I'm enjoying Prime 3 quite a lot. Smilie I'm probably going to have finished it by Tuesday/Wednesday at this rate.
