finally. It looks like Ninty are finally promoting the game.
Also they are showing what can be done with their Wii Connect

, just after I posted on the lack of it , but they still have a long way to go elsewhere . {LS]

Would it not be awesome that if instead of those two other icon spots being for trailers, one would actually be a demo, not likely to happen for now until that memory issue is rectified..

I genuinely thought it was a gameplay demo when I first read the letter upon waking up. Then I just saw that they were videos which could've simply been distributed to IGN and whatnot.

Doesn't matter if they are promoted via XY or Z-games! It does matter, that Ninty finally uses Shop-channel as a way to push demos, videos or trailers. It's a whol different thing when you sit with your Wiimote in front of Wii and start the trailer, swish it around. You look onto your wiimote and think 'I want to play this game, swish my crosshair around and move through the game!
That's called atmosphere, you can't top that on Wii, you can watch your trailers on IGN, but it's absolutely not the same in front of screen, keyboard, on uncomfortable chairs and next to loud puffing PCs...

I thought it would've either been .mov or just plain flash seeing as those are the supported types (unless flash is only self contained in the opera browser), unless something else was added during the firmware update (or H.264 or whatever else comes under the .mov banner). Or is the support for whatever format self contained in the channel/player?

I'm 99.9% sure Opera is nearly completely indepedant from the rest.

I mean, if it wasnt, then the photo channel would support more formats, and the internet channel would support keyboard :p

Hopfully this channel will become a more general thing and won't be a one off.
Having a video channel for upcomming games would be a good move.
Would be kind of annoying having Mario Galaxy Video channel, Battalion wars video channel, MySims video channel etc.

The channels thing is really starting to annoy me. Why the hell would you want a whole separate channel for one game preview or VC game? Why don't they just group them together into a specific channel? It'd make so much more sense than just littering them around the channel screen.

And the first trailer was pretty cringe-worthy I felt. The 'She likes it' bit sounded like something from the script of a terrible B-movie. I'd go upstairs and watch it properly on my Wii, but I bet us Europeans got nothing as usual?
