Quality, not quantity. I'm betting that most of these are licensed dross and EA Sports updates as opposed to anything I'd actually buy. Give me that number of good games for the remainder of the consoles' lifetimes and I would be ecstatic - but let's face it, it won't happen.

Nintendo's President Satoru Iwata has revealed the company is developing 45 games for Wii and 79 for DS with the next batch set to be introduced at the end of Summer 2007.

Huh?? Wait this is just coming from Nintendo?? Holy shit!! 45!!!! I can only think of 20 and that's already counting the likes of Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Pikmin and what not...

There is still bound to be a shot load of Training titles as well Pokemon spin-offs. Them games really print money.
