Could just be Resi4 with the bonus PS2 content, hopefully in true widescreen and at 480p.

The Resi 4 controlls would be perfect for the Wii Smilie

If this happened it would be a must buy for me.

This could be ace, I sold my copy so I'd buy this if it has all the PS2 stuff, full widescreen and prog scan. That would be awesome.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

All I need to pull the trigger on this is:

Updated Wii Controls

PS2 extras included (Cube level visuals - 480p)

True Widescreen support

Consider me sold! If it is just a 'Cube port with newer controls, meh! Who am I kidding, I am buying it either way.

Don't hate, congratulate!

I reckon it's just a mistake... I don't think it sounds likely. Another pre 7th gen port :-/

I guess it'd be alright, as long as they made the graphics better (They don't need MUCH improvement)

But it sounds like something we'd already know about if it was true, June release is too soon. :-/

Personally I'd be looking for more playable content if I were to buy it again. 2-player Mercenaries would be fantasic, but getting it working would be another issue, I suppose.

Resident Evil 4 is the only "normal" game that the Wii controls should map to quite well.

They'd have to use the Wii's extra power to get it running at 60fps though, as aiming at 30fps might be a lil jerky.

It would make the knife attack a bit more satisfying also.

Sweet, i hope this is true, they have removed that page, perhaps they were told to do so?, i already have the the Limited Edition cover GC version but this with Wii controls or added content, would be great. LS

The Wii actually has a shitload more memory than the GC, so textures shouild be tons better aswell. But i'm not sure if i'd buy it again.

Dude yuor totally awesome. And i won't be killing you anytime soon.

I for one would hope that this DOESN'T use the Wii controls. Resi4 played well on the GC so just enhance the visuals and update the content. Don't fuck about with something that isn't even broken.

I would happily, the game is indeed a masterpiece so any improvement for fans is something they will eat up as i will do. LS

As long as GC controls are optional it'll be fine.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Grumbler, after all your posts about Zelda I thought you'd be in the "as it was meant to be played" category.

I think he's saying that he wants them to be an option, not that he wants to opt out of them.

Although haven't all the Resis., even 4, had restrictive controls? Perhaps Wiimote control would offer extra freedom...

Screwing the rules since 1989.

The restrictive controls are practically part of the gameplay.

No because the game wasn't designed for them.

For the Wiimote to be used you either have tacked on controls similar to the DS's in ResiEvil or you redesign the game from scratch to make useof them and if you go through that much effort surely a brand new Resi would be better.

I'd go for a brand new Resi. myself - although I would like the chance to play 4...

if it has all the extra GC & PS2 content im sold!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Surely it wouldn't be that hard? Swap out the analogue aim for wiimote aim, possibility of a few extras (gesture controls for one or two things, possibly the knife fight using directional slashes and movements to block/dodge/swipe etc.). The first one I would've thought would've been easily possible.

*wets self after thought of wiimote knife fight*

shame it probably won't happen.

Well for a start the game would have to be reanimated to encompass that and ultimatly you are still just tacking on the wiimote. The gameplay gains are neglibile while it requires a lot of effort.

Resident Evil 4 = BEST GAME EVER.

Playing through it again on the Cube for about the fifth time.

Honestly i doubt it would happen, but remember Miyamoto said that he hoped developers would ocnsider remakes with enchanced visuals and wii-ified controls. And for another thing it definitely isn't out of CAPCOM's nature to port games. It could be a way of softening the blow when they release that Umbrella Chronicles will slip to 08.

I would love to see the PS2 features included with enchanced graphics and as Shiptoncraig said 2player Mercanaries.

Oh and the canned RE4 footage of Leon in Mansion............a guy can dream.

I wouldn't mind seeing the pointer used for aiming as it seems fairly suited since you stand still thats about it though.
Probably wouldn't buy it my self though since i got it mere weeks ago!

With the Wii pointer you could run and shoot at the same time.

Would be a minor advancement to the game but would be a great improvement to the game.

It'd make the game ridiculously easy. As I said above, the controls are part of the gameplay.

I wouldnt not mind this at all as i never owned Resi4. Hpefully it contains much more bonus content, especially widescreen. Not sure how the wii controls would work, there should be an option which controls you should be able to use.
