Who the hell plays games standing up? It's gonna be hard to make a proper kicking motion while you're sitting on the couch...

Good point but in theory you could sit down.
Yes can't wait for PES Wii, it would be one the reason i might get one of the other consoles.
All we need now is an Assassins Creed Wii, GTA Wii & RE5 Wii.
I am so excited and kudos to EA for experimenting
GTA Wii? Uh, no thanks. RE5 Wii? Uh, no thanks. Assasin's Creed Wii? Uh, yes thanks.
Pro Evo Wii? I'd love it, but they had better get the graphics on par with what the Wii can do at best(ish). We don't need Xbox graphics for goodness sakes. (**stab at Far Cry team btw**)
Actually i think GTAwii and RE5 on wii would be pretty good. Also I agree with dojo99 about FC:V graphics they are sh*t ubisoft should spend more time on it not to mention activisions work on call of duty 3.
Anyway ProEvo on the wii would be great. Though strapping the controller to your foot could end in disaster.

I would laugh my head off if EA actually did this. My floor boards wouldn't be able to take it, im already scared about Wii tennis with all the jumping about and stuff.
t doesn't matter what they show or what they try to tell us. Nintendo lied to us. Just read the article from the link below. Wii hardware is nothing but a gamecube 1.5. I can't believe they fooled with the several interviews saying that Wii will look a little less than a 360 on standard TV.

"The hardware is basically a GC. We've upgraded our development tools to new versions but, you can still use GC programs as they are. With that in mind, I thought we could remake GC titles for the Wii and modify them to work with the Wii remote so that they're more fun to play."

That's stupid. Why would you want Gamecube remakes with Wii controller compatability?

Fair point
Funny how they couldn't get Far Cry working on a PS2. (No I dont wont an argument agian, but you know how I feel about Far Cry's graphics on Wii.)
This sounds awesome. Pro Evolution is a great game bit I'm thinking keeping it simple might be better than trying to use motion sensors?

Hardly stupid, I wouldn't mind that myself - there are a few GC gems that could do with a nice little remake - sold at a lower price, of course!
I wouldn't mind that!

I think the resounding theme from that post is that you wouldn't mind that

Well the legendary video game designer Miyamoto stated that Nintendo will be remakking CUBE classics with the Wiimote utilised and wishes third parties follow hardly stupid and very profitable, but as jb said at a budget price.
Dojo99 what is wrong with you, why do you not want RE5 are you bent or something or just don't like potentially great games
Well it's not stupid but it would be a waste of money really. I wouldn't pay
Pikmin 1 and 2 for
Strapping your Wii-mote to your foot = STUPID.
First of all you'd look like a twat, second of all, if you wanted that level of ... realism (said with caution) then you'd go out and play the beatiful game itself.
As for PES Wii - I think it has a lot of potential but I can't think of a flawless system using the Wii-mote/Nunchuck for the life of me - and I'd rather use a classic button system then be forced to play a gimmik game until I can afford an X360.

Thats basically saying the programing language will be similar rather than the power of the console being the same
@ Soundworks,
Why is your first assumption that any control scheme utilising the Wii-mote will be gimmicky. Just because you can't think of a good control scheme doesn't mean professional developers can't.
To me the pointing abilities of the Wii-mote could be excellent for organising a whole team. The accelerometers in the nunchuk would also be brilliant for the control of turns and dodges. How about the return of Sensi-style aftertouch?
Another graphics debate eh... We should be celebrating that a KEY franchise (especially in the uk) is even being considered for our favourite radical little box. Seabass made some comments earlier about how difficult it would be to bring pes to wii, but he is trying- konami are trying, who are normally such ninty home console neglectors. Be Happy!
Yes, that's the key here. PES/Winning Eleven for Nintendo and Wii would be a great name for Wii and it has a great renom
I wouldnt buy a game that i have to strap the remote to my foot, its just too silly and will get really tiring(and dont tell me about subtle leg movements, we are talking about leg movements for God sake).

I really, really don't think we'll ever see wiimote-on-foot action. Sounds like the Pro Evo team taking the piss out of EA.
All "next gen" Far Crys suck compare to http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8475390224863646387&q=far+cry+3
