Anyways, I never really flirt with people. I tend to do whatever I think up at the moment and go along with it, being myself as much as I can and just trying to have fun. If the other person doesn't like it, then sad for him...atleast I had a good time. Most of the time it works though. I just don't like the guys around here...only just as friends.

I've not read through this but I'd like to say being the nice guy most certainly works, no doubt about it. It just depends on the sort of woman you're after, if you're a nice guy and it doesn't work then she's not for you, simple.

Touching arm is great... it helps make things less awkward. Hey I might be reading too much into this, but this girl says my name after every sentence (when she is talking to me). I mean we are full into a conversation for a while and she never says "you," only my name.

Just come out and ask her what she's doing for Prom night but be non-commital.

I just try and avoid doing things that would make it uncomfortable, such as talking about stuff that they probably have no idea about. Or getting too close for comfort, but the whole purpose of social gatherings and drinking is to loosen your mind a bit, give you a bit of confidence and break the ice, not to be a tool.

Its only awkward if you make it an issue after the matter. If shes says no there's no reason to act weird around her.
