Isn't DragonballZ being really pushed by Nintendo? If so then this isn't surprising, nice news but not surprising.

Even more good news for the Wii.

Heh, delaying PS3 games must be fun.
Sounds like Atari prefer the Wii over the PS3, probably because the PS3 is such a bitch to program for. I hope they give it their all
i think the dev enviroment being so close to the gc is helping. as they know the structure they can push out games quicker rather than having to keep on learning over and over. but the bad thing is that they may just give us lots of cack games.
dbz looks like it could be good but it is all they mention so i'm not too sure what else they are "accelerating". maye they'll tell us soonish
Hmm - could possibly be a double edged sword - faster development and similar structures could mean for easier (relatively) development time/coding, with more room for creativity and new ideas - but for the desperate developer could mean - quick rehash, old code, release (*cough* Rampage *cough*)
Excellent Point JB..
But didn't atari or aren't they almost bankrupt??

Nah, I think you mean Acclaim.
Atari is doing ok with its Matrix license and whatnot.
"...with Dragon Ball Z used as an example."
It's the ONLY example, what else is there? Are we even getting games like Alone in the Dark, Driver (I think Ubisoft has this now though), etc.? How about Indigo Prophecy or perhaps Transformers? The Cube games they had was pretty lackluster, both in quantity and quality. So what are the games that they're working on for the Wii?

Hey, Ikaruga was good, even if they only published it.
More good news for the Wii, even if I'm not perticulary interested in any Atari games.

It won't be their only game in development. They'll have more behind the scenes, just as EA, Midway and Ubisoft have/had, and we'll see them sooner now the development has been prioritised.
What particluar type of franchises do they have?
