Hey everyone, just thought of something that might make a half decent topic, feel free to contribute!

Theres all sorts of things we could suggest to make a bad game good, but what would you change, (within reason) about a personal favourite game?

Advance Wars to me, is the most value for money game I've bought for years, I got it on launch day, US import, and after clocking up 100 hrs, I'm still only halfway through, and still hopelessly addicted to it.
What would I change? I play a lot of multi-play with like minded friends, we build our own maps and face off, sometimes cooperatively against CPU, sometimes against each other, what we found a little frustrating is, as many AW fans know, big strategic battles can last several hours, but when it gets late, (yeah, I have to work for a living too) you cant just save the game and turn off, the match has to be finished or risk losing the valuable medals earned in an epic war! GRR!!

Also, one more thing, at the risk of being accused of nit-picking, it would be helpful if, as you're waiting for a Human player to 'move his pieces' to look at your own firing distances, for example, to know if your opponents tank has moved in range for an indirect attack, or perhaps just to check to see how much more capturing that lone troop has to do to conquer the enemy HQ.
Other than that, its perfect!
Well done Intelligent Systems!!

P.S. Does anybody think it may be worth sending these suggestions to the Big N? (just a thought)

But then you wouldn't be able to know what your enemy is doing Smilie

{Guild}Ohmdal: oops wrong chat

But its all on the same screen, and whilst you wait, the touch screen is redundant, the stylus lets you look around the map, but thats it, you see?

I like both of your ideas and think they should be implemented in future Advance Wars games. I know how some battles can go on for ages, a rainchecking system would prove to be very handy.

mmmm advance wars
i too find the games can go on for hours, its a bit of a shame really as i cant get too into a game on the bus to or from college so i rarely get time to play

I like the advance wars games, but they bore me far too much. I've always done a few levels and then not been able to carry on with the rest of the game. If there was something to make it more interesting...

Or they could just improve Battalion Wars Smilie

The Game is quality, imean you play it, fun never play more than 3 hours in one go, but then eventually you get bored, about 3 weeks later its perfectaly good again. Its interacate, you can play multiplayer on 1 DS which is an added bonus, All the C.O's in the game add for more fun.Id say its pretty well designed the campaign goes for a fair while, all the while introducing new characters so the bordom levels stay down. Introducing more units help that aswell. Its clearly been well thought out, and without taking anything away theres little chance of ruining the game.

"Study this revelation, you nest of adders!"

Hmm, cheers for the comments to the guy's that posted, I was hoping for a lil' more input, I guess I'll think o' something thats creates a lil' more buzz next time!

I know, anybody ever taken a leak on an electric fence?
It's a shocking experience!!Smilie

I won't even go there...

We did do this thing in camp where 15 of us all held hands and one guy holds the electric fence and then we'd all get a buzz...Man, camp brings out the homo in all of us.

Hence the name 'camp' no doubt?
I wouldnt know, the only camping I did as a youth was defined by falling in a hedge and passing out!
