Couldn't agree more. I'd love to be able to get one on launch, but i might have to wait a while to get some savings together....but thats one fine looking console!

Everyday since Nintendo UK announced the DS Lite system to the Nintendo community, I've been checking back for European launch details. E3 comes along, nothing announced, and US and Australian gamers sit happy with a smirk on their face. I was actually thinking about this subject this morning when I checked the Nintendo UK website and found no news about this whatsoever. Nintendo UK can see that Nintendo DS is a big hit and no details on when DS Lite will hit our shores was quite concerning especially since news of foreign launch details has been in the air for almost a month. Now we know the reason why... Nintendo DS Lite black.

This is, by far, the most impressive looking DS Lite to date. I'm a white fan due to my Apple tastes, and silver too. However, this DS Lite black beats it hands down. I'm going to check it out first before I buy as I'm not too keen on a glossy, black console (much like PSP black) where you're forever wiping it down so my choice stays at white for the time being.

Cool, still getting the white one though. Black will be smudge and scratch magnet.

Before buying, I'm going to wait and see if it is as tough as the original.

My only real concern with my DS is the comfort, is the lite more confortable to hold?

From what I heard it is now that the edges are gone, although not sure on specific games like Hunters, but the buttons are ment to be better than the clicky ones on the current DS.

I hope that they have ironed aout the problems with the original. Although looking at the Japanese sales i guess they mnust have. I think a black one would be better than a white one as well as the white one would get dirty easily whereas the black one would hide the dirt.

Anyone notice something about that Press Release? Nintendo is not launching ANY games on the same date as the system. Isn't that a bit strange? The Japanese launch had PuzzLoop (Jap name for Magnetica) and Children of Mana...

Although checking the US lists around the 11th June (US launch date, only in White!), only Big Brain Academy and Magnetica launch a week BEFORE, but nothing on the day, with Sudoku Gridmaster due on 26th June...

Hmm... that is rather odd... You'd think they'd at least delay it a week so that New Mario Bros can get some package dealios...

The GBA: SP launched alongside Zelda III here in Europe and with and FFTactics in Japan (if I remember correctly)...
