DS News | Mother Scores with Famitsu [news]

Bloody excellent score for what seems to be a bloody excellent game! Dammit, come to the west little Earthbound friends!

Everyone says Mother is so good, but it looks so boring to me. Well I can't make a credible opinion without playing it can I?

I played Earthbound on the SNES, brilliant game, everything to look forwad to, hoping it, at least gets an American release.

I am always curious as to what the motivation was for the reviewers to score it the way they did. Is that ever made public globally? (i.e. in English)

Want this - not a bad score but I'd get it anyway. Not scored as highly as FFXII (40/40) but I'm willing to give it a go!!

Adored Earthbound and so want this to be westernised.

Apparently (According to Adam/Jesusraz - at work at the moment), the reviewer's views were something like "the scenario, script and background music are all great", something like that.

Another thing is that Okami got a 39/40 in this issue as well. I'm personally very hyped for this.

Though the Mother series will always hold a dear spot in my heart. Earthbound was one of my first RPGs.

Oh, right, Earthbound...never played an Earthbound game but I've always wanted to. Hopefully I'll have some extra money to buy it with.
