The problem is that with people's suggestions, they can only really suggest sequels, as they have no idea what a new game could be.

Have a star for posting what I was meaning to post as well Smilie

Also of note are the various implications of a "Nintendo" game. Most are reporting Nintendo "developed" games, but it could easily be Nintendo "published" titles - as The-MagicBox are reporting.

This would mean any games like Eternal Darkness, Resi Evil, Rouge Squadron, Odama, Geist and other such titles. It doesn't mean Nintendo have developed all their franchises for launch thus leaving a masive gap before new games start coming in.

Nintendo have surely learned from mistakes made by Sega (DreamCast *sobs), and from themselves (such as the DS launch and then drought, as has been noted by Harrison), and will have strong plans to have both a kick ass launch and subsequent stream of solid releases.

I'm VERY excited and optimistic about all of this, videogaming history is in the making, mark my words. Smilie Smilie

Also does anyone else remeber seeing DK racing video for the Gamecube. I think it was being developed by Rare but the project obviously dropped

Donkey Kong Racing

Maybe it could be revived for the Revo under Namco's helm

Many still think this has been reworked by Rare to be a game called Sabreman Stampede, but nothing's materialised, so looks like it's been dropped. Nintendo wasn't working on it, so is unlikely to pick it up itself...which is a shame for all those Diddy Kong Racing fans out there.

- WarioWare is already in the works for the Rev, as Nintendo's R&D1 basically confirmed in a recent interview on AMN, so that covers the fly-swatting demo in the promo video.

- Then there's Metroid Prime 3, Trauma Centre and Red Steel...

- Sega has reiterated the Sonic Rev game will hit in 2006.

- I wouldn't be surprised if there's a shock announcement of Broken Sword 4 coming to the Rev as well...BS3 was set for the GC, but the publisher dropped it (not the developer).

- Football Manager 2007 could make a surprise Euro appearance, especially now Sega's bough SI.

- Camelot has been working on an RPG for Nintendo, many of which assumed would be Golden Sun for the GC...so that's going to hit the Rev instead without any doubt.

- Mitchell is churning out puzzle games rapidly for Nintendo, with two Polariums and PuzzLopp/Magnetica, so it wouldn't be a major shock to see Polarium Rev.

- Miyamoto has said positive things several times about Kid Icarus being resurrected.

- Kirby has been reiterated for the GC in 2006 only recently, so I'm not sure about that...

- Brownie Brown has previously said it is working on something (other than Magical Vacation 2 for DS)...so that could be another Rev RPG.

nin10do Sega's mistakes weren't presicely due to their games and marketing. It was more due to accounting, bad design of their handhelds, also game piracy hit the dreamcast hard.

Yes game piracy killed the dreamcast. If developers don't see their games turning a profit and get wind that the games were pirated en masse they will go to another platform or drop out of the business due to not being able to run the game studio.

It's alway amazing pirates don't seem to understand that if they want the game studios to continue to make more games more better games more expensive games those games need to be bought not pirated.

You should take comfort in the mere fact that the dreamcast games can possibly make their way to the revolution vc will except for those sega dreamcast games that made their way to the Gamecube.

There a lot of hidden games for the Revolution being developed I suspect. Red Steel info got released to draw in more developers.

The GDC did wonders for Nintendo discussing the design of the Revolution controller as well as the success of the DS.

Games will still be developed for the GBA for a while because quite frankly not all game IPs would work on the DS that well.

Hehe i know basicly my sugestions were all ports, but those are basicly the titles thaat come on any system launch, so i don't see them unlikely... those are not my wishes, are my speculations...
But i did trhow some of the anounced games and some speculation not anounced, like the nintendo penant chase ball, that it was almost ready for launch on 2005 and suddenly it completly disapeared... and i think that game has posibilities for the new controller.

I'd also wish that they release Metroid Prime 3, Kid Ikarus, Mario 128, All those anounced indie developed games, tons of RPGs... but i was trying to be real...... for the most part hehe.

If I remember correctly didn't Miyamoto-san or Iawata-san say that SSB would be available on launch day?!?!?Smilie

Vote 1, Eternal Darkness 2 for Wii

Maybe it could be revived for the Revo under Namco's helm

NO! Remember what they did with Starfox: Assault? Could've been a killer game, but they just got lazy and it became a mediocre game. Still fun, but far too short and not enough unlockables

While on the subject, what about a Starfox title? It could be in the same principle of Assault, combining the ground combat with the space fighting. I think FPS's and space shooters are the two best genres associated with the Revolution and having a mixture would make it a quality game. Provided Namco pull their finger out.

I wonder, is there any of Phoenix Wright Revolution? Or am I living in a fools dream?

Not at all. The developers have expressed interest in bringing Phoenix to the Revolution, and I can only hope it's true.

As for us not being able to come up with anything aside sequels - Marionette! Marionette! You've all heard me on about it before!

(If you haven't, I'm going to have to go a-digging or a-typing, aren't I? Can't have any of you unaware that I called it if it happens...:bentSmilie

Marionette was the DS's online option.

Marionette was a game in development on the 64DD that was announced in name form only. It was widely speculated that it was an extension of the stage game they were making, revolving around puppets. I called it for a new Mario game wherein you control puppets using the gyros of the Revolution controller. There's a whole topic on it by me somewhere (hopefully it's still about...).

I'm almost certain that there will be a Wario Ware game at launch, to show off the crazy stuff the Rev controller allows (Much like the DS version did). I'm also pretty sure that a new Mario game WON'T be ready by launch. Mario '128' according to Miyamoto wasn't even out of the ideas stage until insanely recently, so unless they rush it and make it about 2 hours long I doubt it'll be ready...

Hopefully that Kirby game will be released on the Rev at launch, since I'm probably the only person who'd buy it on the Cube... Plus an extra boost on the graphical side couldn't hurt Smilie

Still a proud member of the 'omfg amazing water in games' society

Woah! Damn good news! The DS had an OKish line up, none of which blew me away. But with 20 (most of which we can guess) I'm having to contemplate how I'll ever afford the games I need!

Here's that topic Mike, I remember it distinctly.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Nice one. Smilie I still want that game...

I hope to see some original adventure titles by nintendo. They generally excel in that genre I am sure it will be interesting to see how nintendo goes on about developing an next-gen adventure game without the restrictions that are present with sequels. Not to mention the implentation of the controller. An original adventure game down the track will make Z a happy man.
