Onis C3 obituary

Whaa...? I havent seent this thread before.

Well, I must say I miss him...kinda. Didnt know him all too well but nothing he wrote offended me. Not what I know off anyways.
But I admit he was a little too offencive sometimes. A little too cocky maybe. Hrm, well...

To the guys questioning what exactly he did (or what the final straw was), the thread has quite rightly been deleted, so you won't see it in his post list

The rebirth thread seems to have completely passed me by, I don't know what the hell you lot are talking about...

We demand closure!

I saw the start of the rebirth thread, where Oni appeared to denounce his ways by chnaging his name to The Fuhrer. I can only assume it got worse from then on...

I'm in the dark about this too. Barry, mind summarising it (or chucking a quick PM if it's a bit too offensive)? Are we talking about the 'name change' thread, and if so how did it go worse?

Oh that thread, seemed fine from what I saw.

I could be totally wrong about it in all honesty, could be something very different - remember I am staff but I have no moderation powers or inside info.

But frankly having a member called The Fuhrer, with Hitler as an avatar and signatures asking Jews for their papers - not very friendly towards one nation and an entire religion.

Considering Ikari was banned (or got in trouble leading to a ban) for making a sweeping generalisation about the Welsh (with all the tired old sheep / leeks things), well Oni pushed that limit quite a bit further.

Edit, by the way I'm going to shut up on this now, I could be very wrong and don't feel comfertable speaking about something that's sod all to do with me

I thought it was probably that, but I thought it quite strange that it was a couple of days after the name change that he got the big B.

I highly doubt that he'd get in trouble for that, seroiusly.

As a half jew, you'd be amazed at how little the bulk of jewish society gives a fuck about the whole 'Hitler thing'.

EDIT: Okay, that came out wrong.

We obviously care about the murders of hundreds of thousands of our countrymen, but at the same time, I think most of us are prepared to move on, and take it for what it is ; a bad joke. Other societies and cultures have to put up with it, just as we do.

Anyone who pretends to be Hitler must have mental problems. I find that extremley offensive, and In the words of E, 'thats not really funny'.

The forum will be a much more enjoyable, cleaner place without 'The Fuhrer'

I was a SEGA fan before I was ever a Nintendo fan. First game I EVER played was STH at the age of 2 I think that may be a logical answer to my uncontrollable Sonicfanboydom... Learning at a very young age, he was imprinted into my mind as some kind of superdemon. Or something.

I reckon the SEGA Army will live on... Tons of people here are SEGA fans, & if not, they're TOLERANT

Sounds fair enough, to be honest I think everyone here trusts the modding team (I know I do) and hopefully this closes the matter.

The guy kitted himself out as Hitler for fuck sake, that's a great way to go isn't it. C3 is a community for Nintendo fans alike including mature discussion. The likes of you and others praising him that just makes C3 even more full of crap because members can't spot the difference between fun and plain stupidity.

IKARI left of his own accord really. There was racism involved, and to be honest, it's one thing that Cubed3 really is strict about, and rightly so. Being a British based site, we're lucky to have Amercian, European and all sorts find the site and stay around to become fledgling members. IKARI did come back with a different alias, but since he was a lot older than the average age set here, he probably seen the better of it and decided to move on with his life.

Oni has taken leave before from the site, each time coming back growing more erratic in his behaviour, even though he did make amazing contribution to the site. I hope he moves on from this, and I think he will, since not many are going to take a forum ban too badly if it was justified, or if they do, they have problems.

Tempo, JB, and the rest will probably say the same; ask any of the gang and they will severely clamp down on members taking the piss with racism and hate. I can guess in the staff forums that the issue has been coming back again and again with Oni, and the warnings have probably been sent.

To be completely honest, Ben's post might be closer. The guy might have problems upstairs, and I know.
