Can't remember how close to launch I was with the Master System, but it must have been pretty much from day one. I was really ill as a kid so to make up for some of the cool things I missed I got Master System games - my NES was really just for Mario, Dunk Hunt and the odd random game

Besides totally hating and discriminating 50% of the nationality I happen to be, oni was a strong voice in the forums, but I can totally see where the mods are coming from and hope he's never back again.

A controversial member indeed. To be honest though many people wouldnt be "slagging " him off if he still was about.

Comedy isn't just about shock. Crossing social taboos isn't enough to make something funny. If it were, Carlos Mencia would be funny.

Oni had shock in spades. I don't have much respect for someone who just calls himself "the Furher." It's not funny. It's an attention grab. You want to see how you use something that taboo and make it funny? Look at Monty Python. Look at the Producers (the original movie, not the remake).

Take Blizzard and Zap Brannigan. It wasn't funny becuase of Zap. It was funny because of the homoerotic undertones the Blizzard224 character used in his admiration of Zap. It looked like Blizzard was about to join Zap in a pile of very seductive manure at any moment.

I didn't find Oni's "the Furher" character to have any comedic value at all.

Brilliant work guys! Good on you all for ridding C3 of a menace.

yeah, in recent times its seemed like Oni was just waiting to be banned. April fools? i don't think so.

My head's a little clearer now (I'm gonma suffer in the morning ) and I was thinking that, despite being pissed off with the names changes all over the site recently with no idea who's who anymore - Oni's did stick out.

I've been at work so I've obviously missed what the whole thang was about. I wasn't so sure when he posted in the 'Say Something About the Member Above You Thread'

If Oni is anything like I expect him to be, I doubt he'll try and come back to an internet forum...

The trick with Oni was to take everythin he said with a truckload of salt, and to be prepared to have any minority you're part of insulted.

But really, he was a great contributer to the C3 community, and it will be different without him around here.

I've looked through his last few posts; just generally nothing bad, all well thought out, etc. Would it be possible to know what he got banned for? And why his sig is defaced?

Can't say i'm suprised, some of the things he got away with...he posted great points and put some arse holes in their places, but he was an arse hole him self and imo went a bit far a fair few times. Still, if he learned to controle him self (unlikley because thats what he strived NOT to do) then he would be a valued member of the boareds.

He was the lovable mutt of c3, bit hyper, nipped your legs but then one day attaked a little girl and was taken out back and shot.

If you can give us a solid reason as to why he got banned, you'd put my suspicions at ease.

Perhaps the offensive posts were removed.

I've had a look too and can't see anything bad above normal Oni levels, so I'm coming to the conclusion that they've been deleted or something. Defacing of the sig is a bit much?

It's not the fact he wasn't so much to me, I can easily take things with a grain of salt, and indeed I did, since he made a few comments against me. His name being the fuhrer didn't affect me, but I can see why it would to others.

It was his hipocracy and "I insult people so I'm better than you" attitude that got annoying. His rebirth topic took the piss. Good riddance.
