Sonic Riders Thread

I still find the game fun to play, but it may not be the controls that affect gameplay, it could be something else, I mean the computors often do something unfair to get in front, or it might be the fact there is no real tension between friends on the multiplayer mode, due to no items & annoying attacks, when you slow down you REALLY DO slow down, so it's not funny when a friend gives you a cheap shot, it's just annoying. Could that be a reason?

Anywhoo, I still enjoy the controls, at the moment I'm going through the GP mode with every character, I can now leave Computor characters in the dust with almost anyone, & before I always came in 8th

well it still sounds like a good game and i cant wait to get it on monday.

You'd think after 15 year people would get that, but it's sad to see an official magazine making that mistake.

Methinks they also couldn't get the controls to work for them at all. It does take a bit of practice but once you get it you get it.

I mean they complain about your rivals taking over you when you think you're in control. duh! It's a racing game, when you're doing good they are riding your turbulence. It's a least a better system then giving those in last place unavoidable blue shells.

Well, everyone has an opinion, & I just happen to have a good opinion, the Turbulence system can get annoying when you don't want to use it... but a good thing to remember is that you can press L + R together to leave it, I always forget that though

I think Sonic is better known for Rings than Mario is for coins!!

I have recently borrowed it from a friend and was presently surprised. It's alot more reliant on shortcuts than I had though and it's very satisfying to know you beat someone using a well timed shortcut.

Well, I'm very near to completing it now, I've just got a few more gears & one more character to unlock, & then that's it!

(By the way, one downside is that you MIGHT get a bit bored of it after nearly 2 weeks of playing it all the time )

By the way, what do you think of it Craig? I take it down to my local Youth Club often & everyone there really enjoys it

Yes, I have NiGHTS, he/she is completely awesome, so when someone has taken Sonic, I use NiGHTS, 'cos of His/her awesome level 3 speed boost.

By the way, although this has little relevance, apparantly (according to a SEGA interview) NiGHTS has no specified gender, so people just tend to call him a him or a her, rather than an it or by his name, I personally say "him"

& you may be please to hear that, although ALL other characters in the ENTIRE GAME (including Robots, AiAi & Ulala) have voices, NiGHTS has no voice whatsoever, that's done on purpose right

ive just got this game today and it totaly rocks. i love it. after a rocky start with an 8th place in my first race i climbed up to 7th in the second and 1st in the third. im rideing the air like a demon now.

I just wonder why the fastest being in the world needs a hoverboard.

NiGHTS, isn't that the SEGA game which was released with a control stick controller after Nintendo unveiled the N64?

Yes, they sneakily released it with an analogue pad a month before the N64 made it to the US. Fucking brilliant game too. One of the best games EVA!

Yup, NiGHTS is a sublime game. I'm absultely praying for a sequel.

Burning Rangers = very hard to get.

It never left, you should've seen me when I found out about the Mega Drive games on Virtual Console. I got a tad too excited...
