That's enough talk of non SEGA RPGs!
IN THIS THEAD, ALL NON-SEGA RPGS ARE UTTER SHITE!
SKIES OF ARCADIA!!!
Panzer Dragoon Saga!
Everybody MUST play it somehow! It's the best game ever, even outside of the Sega Army thread!
I have it, I have it!
Been meaning to go back and finish it again on Hard Mode to get new goodies unlocked actually..
There just aren't enough hours in the day!
Skies of arcadia FTW on RPG's, in my eyes nothing can beat such a epic storyline. I owned a dreamcast and blue stinger, Power stone, Sonic adventure (FTW buying new one on Wii hope its as good).
Can anyone tell me did I miss out by not buying Grenida 2 and Fantasy star online? And although I asked this before can anyone tell me why the DC died, it seemed a solid console with the best hardware of its time including internet and a good game range, what the hell went wrong.
I also owned a Sega system, the one that play's Alex the kid, I also had Overun and some other games on it, but I forgot what they were called. Micky the mouse was one of that list sadly. fair game tho.
I never really liked sega, Sonic was overrated, "keep ur finger on right and keep hitting jump", scarly easy and dull game, in my eyes (dont flame, DONT FLAME!) thats why i always went with Mario, even Crash Bandicoot over it (:lol.
However i loved my Dreamcast , Shenmue was legendary and im glad its one of those famous titles that i can actually say i experianced at launch, nothing worse than playing famous titles way after there time not truely feeling the love
.
Some other Dreamcast classics i loved was Toy Commander, it was not a great game but the concept of driving/flying around a house, using TINY TINY toy's - so fun and Jet Set Radio, oh how i love thee
.
Megadrive was a good contender to SNES and some titles like Toe Jam and Earl will always be in my top favourite games ever.
Sega Saturn, whilst i know theres so many fans of some famous titles (mentioned above) such as Panzer (not experianced myself) the console was doomed from the get go, and truely did deserve the death it got.
Dreamcast was an amazing console that showed how fantastic Sega could be, why it died such a horrible death is clueless as i know i loved it, so did a good friend - but we were the only ones to have one... Perhaps it was the reputation Sega got themselfs from the Saturn ?.
Anyhow, a good history and a shame they died, they should stop making so many titles for the current market, most which are poor and sign exclusivly with one of the three consoles (Nintendo or Microsoft personally) and like Nintendo, create rare but amazing first party titles and get some of the fame back.
Hope the negatives of the above dont hide the good possitives to the hardcore fans
