Hokay, hope I aint breaking an rules here ( I think I am...) Could anyone direct me towards a Ikaruga torrent (Or, preferably, direct dowload)?

I'd spurl up some story about the disc falling into a gaping chasm as the result of a series of unfortunate events, but I can't really be bothered. DC broke and took Ikaruga with it, sadly ; and I aint buying another copy.

hereSmilie

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

No seeders as of now for that one, thanks anyway though.

I don't suppose anyone would go to the trouble of FTPing or Seeding a torrent for me?

Okies, ladies and gents, this should be fun:

I have this : Ikaruga(sb).nrg

I want this : A copy of ikaruga to stick in my dreamcast

I use this : Mac OSX.

Oh oh, spaghetti ohs. Is this going to be as hard as I think it is?

I dunno but I take it that's a nero image and there is no version of nero for mac. Am I sniffing the correct rusty post Blizz by man?

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Got it done, nrg to tao converter, tao to cdi convertor, cdi can be read by the free burning program I use.

Copy of the game had an inbuild buff track.

Sega's on the up
14:45, May 17th by Neil Long
Sega Sammy Holdings has bucked the trend of its contemporaries in the games space with an annual net income boost of 31 per cent.
In the company's financials for the fiscal year ended March 31st, Sega Sammy's year-on-year net profits were up to 66.2 billion yen compared to the previous year's 50.6bn yen.

Operating profits in the consumer games division also shot up, with the firm recovering from an 8.8bn yen loss in last year's results to a healthy 2bn yen this year.

The profits come even after the acquisition of developers Sports Interactive and Secret Level earlier this year.

The positive results led to lofty expectations of 75bn yen on net profit and sales of 682bn yen for the coming financial year

You never know, if Sega make enough smackers in the next few years they could re-enter the hardware buisness. Their aim since the demise of the Dreamcast has been to become the #1 publisher, imagine if they achieved that! Their developers could afford to take risks again with innovative and unique games, even if they don't go back to hardware. if anyone should knock EA off the top spot, it's Sega.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Go go SEGA! I desperately want Sonic Wild Fire to be good and do well. I don't see them ever doing hardware again, I'd be content with them upping their software quality to the standards it was at years ago.

If I own a Dreamcast but it's broken does that count? ^^; If it helps I actually went to SEGA world years ago... Good times. Played Sonic Fighters, and that's pretty much the only reason I want Gems Collection. Nostalgia is EVIL!

You know... I really hope SEGA don't go back into hardware. I don't want to have to buy even more consoles. >_>

You know... I really hope SEGA don't go back into hardware. I don't want to have to buy even more consoles. >_>

the problem with Sega being third party is that they do lots of exclusives.

For example, Nintendo usualy gets Sonic priority, Virtua Fighter has been exclusive to Playstations, and Xbox gets all the decent stuff (JSRF, Outrun2, Panzer dragoon orta, Shenmue 2).
This will only get worse this generation, with the 3 consoles being so different. Sega fans need to buy more consoles with Sega as a third party than they needed to before. All of Sega's genious and majesty under one roof is preferable to it being smeared clumsily between consoles.

Also, Sega are terrible at choosing which consoles to put games on. Look at the awesome Xbox lot, they all sold extremely badly. The thing is, anyone could have predicted that because Sega games clash violently with the Xbox's target demographic.

Sega need to dish out their games more evenly methinks. Nintendo fans are big fans of Sega, as the nintendo fanbase harks back much further than the Xbox or PS community who mainly derive from the PS1 generation. But if ninty fans are too attached to their Nintendo consoles to reach out and buy other consoles, Sega need to give them more love if they want to make any headway towards being a top 5 publisher.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Hmm... I see what you mean, though almost all of my old friends who are SEGA fans bought Xboxs for some reason... Maybe it was just them, but I actually thought that alot of Sega fans in general really liked the Xbox

I must admit though that I have taken far less of an interest in SEGA since they wen't third party. I don't even know of any Sega games on the PS2 or Xbox other than Jet Set Radio Future. >_>

That is very true, a lot of Dreamcast owners got Xboxs when the Dreamcast konked out. It is the most similar console after all in terms of the controller, online focus and several other things. But the emphasis came off Sega, and a lot of Sega fans no longer really take much interest in Sega stuff as they believe (sometimes wrongly), that Sega isn't such a good developer anymore. Being a Sega fan has been cheapened by all the crap they've been pumping out recently, drowning the gold.
Also, Sega fans just aren't as blindely loyal as; say Nintendo fans. There wasn't a whole lot on the Saturn that pleased MegaDrive fans, and most of them got Playstations.

It's pretty complicated but basicaly, only hardcore Sega fans bothered to get the good stuff on Xbox. Sega fans in general are split pretty evenly accros the three platforms, and since they are also generaly older, they can often afford to go multi-console.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Well yeah the original Xbox controller literally is a Dreamcast controller with one extra analogue stick. I quite liked the Saturn though. Maybe it was the fact that I was just completely uninterested in the Playstation, or that I absolutely despise Final fantasy (And RPGs in general) but there were quite a few decent games on the Saturn. Then again I suppose I didn't play quite as many games then as I do now, and the best game probably was Sonic Jam and that's just a compilation so... Yeah. Had some good fun with the old Virtua Fighter games too though Smilie

If you think about what the biggest classics were on the MegaDrive, what people were playing mostly ; Sonic, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, there weren't really proper decent games like that on the Saturn.

The only genre that was served in decent quanitities and at decent quality was fighters.

I absolutely despise Final fantasy

Join the club, we are in the minority. The SNES ones wer OK though.

Yeah, I got FF8 on glowing reviews but oh boy is it dull. Skies of Arcadia ftw!

FF7 is, in my opinion, the most over-rated game ever.

My god. It's like heaven... A place where people realise that Final Fantasy is insanely boring... I didn't even like the NES or SNES ones, and quite frankly I don't see how you could like some and not others. They're all exactly the same, apart from the characters. If only all the foolish Sony fanboys realised that FF sucked and RPGs like Tales of Symphonia were far better

RPGs like Tales of Symphonia were far better

Well, hmm, errr, ToS was equally dire i thought. Makes me cringe just thinking about it.

Geeeeeeez you don't have to be a sony fanboy to like FF7 or any Final Fantasys. The quality of most of the Final Fantasy games just pisses all over Tales of symphonia, i don't even know whos the bloody bad guy in it any more!!!!! The story is SHIT! At least in ff7 you know who your fighting against.

And NO there not all the same, maby the story of Good guy saving the world but theres one thing square does good is mixing the formula arounf in each FF game. The system 8 was completly diffrent to 7 the setting was diffrent same thing in FF9 completly diffrent.

Different characters and setting. Same game

Nah, they're all pretty different. I dislike them for different reasons.

Like the fact that you don't actually DO anything in the battles? That's my main reason...

Still a proud member of the 'omfg amazing water in games' society

Tales Of Symphonia, took me ages to get into because of the battle system. but i looked past that.

FF7 is a pile of shite. sorry but srsly, its overrated and it is'nt that good of a game. FF9 ftw.
