Once money stops being an issue in my household I'll start considering purhases of next gen consoles. There are some good games on the Xbox360 at the moment but nothing worth considering buying a console over as little's impressed me yet but over at Gamespot they had a preview for Lost Planet with an attached video and the section with the nest defnitely caught my attention.

I also know Bioware have got a new rpg in the works, so what upcomming games should I be on the look-out for when I decide whether to get a 360 or not.

Please don't even attempt to sell me the features of a PS3 or Revolution, I just want to know what good looking (not just graphically) games are there on the horizon for the 360.

Too human

Hmm, obviously Halo 3. Also coming up pretty soon is Ghost Recon (looking awesome!)Some screens Here.If you're after RPG then The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will probs interest you, screens here.

What genres do you like?
Joe.

I'm watching Too Human closely but obviously it'll take Silicon Knights a good 15 years to finish the trilogySmilie, so could turn into another ShenmueSmilie.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Forgot about Oblivion, I heard it's coming out soon on PC. Apparently Gears of War is supposed to look goood

All the Mistwalker RPGs, particularly Blue Dragon, but also Lost Odyssey and Cry On.

Elder Scrolls IV, Ghostrecon: Advanced Warfighter,
FarCry Instincts Predator (stupid name)

All I can think of..

zomg nubkake microgai r so homo y u eva buy xbox gtfo nub

I like FPS games but I've been out of practice for a while. I'll have to get Ghost recon as thats the only game my mate plays online an he shouls be moving to england in a few months.

I've put KOTOR into my Xbox now to finish that, playing through Resi4, Star Wars: Republic Commandoes.

I like games with RPG elements, action and puzzles - the game doesn't have to have all of them them. This is where it gets awkward, I like the action in FPS games but lack the precision and speed for them, I can get a head shot but about two seconds after everyone else so I generally die quite quickly in those circumstances. So an action game where I'd have to think about what I'm doing and plan for it but not require "uber" skills would be my favourite type of game.

Oh can you guys add links for the games you are taling about so i can have a look at them.

For an actual post, I'd maybe suggest Kameo?

DaOne that link for Oblivion has broken screen links. Everyone iI click on comes up with some crappy maya 3D render of an orge in a cave.

I added a few links (addmitedly its a shameless plug to my WIP xbox site but still good screens Smilie).

Alan wake - clicky

FM2006 maybe - clicky

The Godfather? - clicky

EDIT, on the oblivion ones just click next at the bottom.

DaOne.

I remember seeing alan wake a while ago. Certainly looks rather nice.

Lost Odyssey

No info. on Cry On it seems.

Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon and more Lost Odyssey

EDGE has some great images of Blue Dragon that I can't find on the 'Net so far, so have a scan through it in a shop if you're not buying - they're on page 56 I think, around there anyhow.

To be honest, the local GAME store got some 360s in and I was very tempted to buy one. Unfortunately, there's little out right now but it's a possibility in the future.

It's a possibility only if there are games which look interesting rather than generic/average titles which received good reviews (ala Dead Or Alive 4 or Condemned).

Obviously, bring on Halo 3.

Quoted from EDGE (rather, typed up):

"Mistwalker's most recently announced project is Sakaguchi's first action-RPG, but it will be collaborating studio Cavia's third, follwoing its Drakengard titles - the games share a character designer and medieval Europe-inspired setting.

Sakaguchi's role is as scenario writer and supervisor, but he also intends to contribute a control system that will more meaningfully use the analogue sticks for interaction. Despite the genre label, such interaction won't exclusively involve striking down hordes of monsters, as protagonist Sally is the brains of the game: the brawn comes in the initially diminutive form of Bogul, a golem carried on Sally's back. The collection of certain materials allows Bogul to grow to gigantic proportions and make short work of obstacles, as Sakaguchi explains: "Where Sally needs 15 minutes to solve the puzzle, Bogul would require a minute."

Barely beyond the concept stage, it's some consolation that Cry On's developers are no strangers to crushing pathos (the title is a hint to the scenario's theme), lurching scale and odd couples - as those who experienced Drakengard's nightmarish endings will attest. Sakaguchi's guide and a 1 billion yen (

To be honest the only things that currently attract me to an Xbox are the live arcade games from PomPom!

Well... Kameo looks interesting, the graphics are very disappointing for 360 though, & the controls are a bit hard to get used to... well I played a demo at a shop, could be completely different...

Halo 3, KOTOR sequel, Fable sequel, Sonic 2006 (:crySmilie & Sonic 360 (:crySmilie would be cool... also the possibility of Shenmue III, but either Shenmue is the most overrated thing on the planet, or it's actually pretty good... Resi Evil 5... XBOX Live is supposed to be really good for 360... hmm what else... I'm not so good with XBOX games Smilie but I will be getting one so I'll have to try out a selection... Smilie

I didn't think they were getting a seperate 360-exclusive Sonic title.

Rob, o/\o

I really need a 360 Smilie

PomPom ftw!

Yeah, if you don't have geometry wars get itz <_<

I didn't think they were getting a seperate 360-exclusive Sonic title.
There might be... there might not be... or it could just be the very same game getting a PS3 release too, but at E3 last year, they had playable demos of a Sonic game for 360, (or maybe a non playable demo... but) they also had the trailer of Sonic 2006 behind closed doors, but I'm not sure if anything was shown at the Sony booth... So I reckon we'll find out a lot more at E3 Smilie

The only next generation Sonic Exclusive announced so far is for the Revolution Smilie

As for the 360, it's all about the JRPG's for me, I'm just sitting and waiting to see how they pan out, especially Sakaguchi's ventures.

Even though it's incredibly likely I never remember an announcement... just speculation Smilie

I'm waiting to see what western RPGs are coming personally. The Japanese are getting samey and having trouble breaking the mold. Western RPGs are becomming more distinct.
