As we know, Revolution is still a codename, one I'd very much like them to keep. However, if they do go insane and change the name, what would you like them to call it?

My suggestion would be something like Nintendo Freeform, due to the nature of the controller.

Nintendo 5

-Wii rules the world.
-But sir?, Wii dont rules it.
-I dont mean Wii you stupid, i mean Wii.
-What? You sad Wii dont and then Wii does? WTF??

You found the word nipple! And you love touching them!

Nintendo 5?Smilie

They should keep it as Revolution. Everyone speculated whether the controller would live up to the name... I think theres no question about it..deffinatly a Revolution.

N5, simple as that.

Gods in His Heaven. Alls right in the World.

I heard the name Monolith on a blog. It would be kinda cool if it was just called the Nintendo Entertainment System again but I like N5 too.

Well the gamcube was named litteraly so a name that reffers to the console or how it is would work great.

Nintendo Rectangle? Smilie
Nintendo AiRide.

Nintendo Innovation, or something along the lines of that. I think the name needs to incorporate some mention of its "revolutionary" features. My first choice would the the Nintendo Revolution of course.

Hence Nintendo Coriolis

Vibrating structure gyroscope in engineering literature is reffered to as "Coriolis vibratory gyro"

I don't know what Coriolis means, but I'd like something like that. I big, odd and comlpex word. Sophistication is what I most appreciate.

Ooooohhh ok Smilie

I dunno thats way too complicated a name methinks, the design of the Revolution seems to have moved back toward how the other more "popular" consoles look, instead of a purple cube we now have a sleek rectangle. And the name Coreolis would go some way to be a bit "out there" or just too big and complicated a name for the masses Smilie

I would like to keep the name Nintendo revolution due to the fact it really is.

It is the smallest console ever.
It has a massive back catalog
A new vent system
Backward compatible
Wireless
Internet Wi-Fi
Graphics just as good as ps3 and xbox360
And of course the freestyle wireless controller

So thats the reason it should be called revolution but somehow i doubt it will be called revolution just like the gamecube was going to be called the dophin then changed right before release.

If it was called something else other than revolution i probaly wouldn't mind something like::
Nintendo Reformed
Nintendo Generations
Nintendo freestyle

Graphics just as good as ps3 and xbox360

Well we don't know that yet.

I dunno man its getting harder and harder for consoles to claim they "have the best graphics" the line between them is blurring as far as im concerned.

Too true. The XBOX 360 is mainly re-lying on it's graphical capabilities to sell it. Like a really hot chick to a 15 year old.

Oh yeah I know, all i'm saying is we havnt seen what revolution do in the graphical department and we have no specs. So we cant compare it to the PS3 or 360 yet.

Coriolis isn't snappy enough by a long way. Reformed sounds like a cheap meat product, Generations sounds like an arcade rehash, Freestyle sounds like a bad extreme sports game. Rectangle is silly, AiRide is unpronouncable and meaningless. N5 is too obscure, Nintendo Entertainment System is too long. Evolution is a cliche. Freeform sounds like a bad style of alternative dance.

Wow! Right on every count!

What do you suggest? Rob?

I am telling you, there is no pleasing some people. *cough*Rob*cough* Smilie

Hah! Of course, it's easy to criticise...

What do I suggest? Well, I came up with one great idea:

"The Nintendo Revolution"

I think it could catch on.

Seriously, Nintendo said that 'DS' was a codename, so I wouldn't be surprised if this codename was kept as well.

If Nintendo change the the name i am going to cry Smilie

I do kinda like N5.

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.
