"Think outside the box"....that just sound so swish.
That looks extremely authentic to me.
I couldn't agree more with nin10do, if Sony did release the PS3 at more or less the same time as the Revolution, it could only be a good thing. The sheer magnitude of a Nintendo launches; especially one like this is shaping up to be
Nice.
I'm obviously a big fan so biased, but when good members who are big mulitformat gamers agree, well it seems releavant to me
I've also been reading up on heaps of online speculation today, and to say the least it's really stirring up my thoughts/hype of the revolution. Are Nintendo really playing these cards, if so they are doing well, if not - damn the fan power is big.
This is going to be a very interesing time for gaming...
Considering Sony's approach to console launches (have a small number of stock as to create demand), not to mention the amount of money they will have to pour into combating the X-Box 360's launch, trying to convince people to wait. The score should probably be more like;
Nintendo 3 - Sony 0
Ken Katuguri has also gone on record to say that there will probably be supply shortages of the PS3 during the launch period. So the best possible time for the Revolution to launch will be along side Sony.
Though that poster has one small flaw... the Revolution is INSIDE the box. Other than that the design is quite nice.
Indeed it is.
And I've just been thinking, I personally doubt Microsoft could take much more than maybe 20 Million PS2/3 users (I could be wrong, just what I think at this time).
It's even looking like Nintendo are getting to a position where they might just manage something similar, Japan should go much better (small console, retro games, non-gamers), a simultaneous American launch could go well for Nintendo.
What if both Microsoft and Nintendo took a chunk out of Sony, it could even go like this:
PS3 - 50/60 Million
Microsoft - 40 Million
Nintendo - 40 Million
Roughly speaking (and not taking market growth into consideration) that could be devastating, I wasn't taking the PS3 dropping large market share thing serious .... I'm starting to think I might have been wrong!
Is this really the beginning of the end for Sony?
