I think Ign is taking this a bit too seriously.....I never really played the Nes games of the Cube version much. Because I had to leave what I was doing, and make it a point to go play it (same reason why I don't play home consols much unless with friends)

However, I believe they hit a great point with old classic gameboy games! I think it would be so awesome to be able to carry around a little gameboy pocket and have all the old GB games downloaded on them (hopefull you won't have to carry around a million gameboys like you did with the NES's in the Cube version). You could play while waiting thr last few moments for the mail, or waitng for the store to open, or as the guy said, while waiting for a friends to get through "costums". What do you all think?

come on now, dude.

It's IGN!!!!! They're stupid asses that don't give a shit about anything.

The only good thing they're good for are the videos.

It would be cool to play Mario Land 1 again though...

Well it's sorta dissapointing they could have made them 2 player over wifi, but AC sounds great as it is especially since the game has gotten what people have been wanting for so long, online gameplay.

I can't believe IGN are bitching about this, focus on making the gameplay more rounded or having NES games - the choice should be a no brainer!

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I never saw the NES games as one of the main incentives, more the opposite; they got boring and took time loading/playing that I didn't have. Sure if you could play them whilst you're waiting for something that would be good but you could always just put your DS down for a second instead?

Besides the fact that the feature was very minor in the CG version, I'd say that because the Revolution should have access to these games this argument is pointless... frankly it's surprising thet they could type up two pages about an issue I wouldn't even notice...

First thing I thought! If Nintendo sell NES games for a couple of bob on the Revolution why would they bother giving them away for free with ACDS?

Um....half the reason I bought AC was for the NES games. The main game was good and all, I played it a lot, but I really liked the NES games.

I hope they include Gameboy or Game and Watch games, because otherwise, I don't see how it can be that much different from the GC version.

The fact this version can go online. Plus, you bought it for the NES games, to quote Hurricane, whatsupwidat?

Ditto, I mean you can bitch, but Jesus that impressed me for how long they went on about it. A simple "No NES games in Animal Crossing DS, it makes us cry at night" would have done it.

The American version of Animal Crossing used the e-reader, didn't it? How did that work exactally? (Damn NoE screwed us over again with that one!)

Homebrew programmers have managed to emulate Game Boy hardware on the Game Boy Advance, which is somewhat ironic considering the GBA hardware already has the inherent ability to play classic Game Boy titles.

Er...WHY!?

I never used it, but I think that on the GBA, you could get E-reader cards and it had stats and info about the characters or something. When you used it on AC, it would (sometimes?) unlock NES games. I wanna say there were a few exclusives, but's it's been over a year since I heard about it and I'm not at all sure. You might've been able to get other things like furniture...but I'm not sure about that either. Like I said, I never used it.
