Famicom Wars DS [Advance Wars] (NDS, Nintendo): 9 / 9 / 8 / 8 - (34/40)
Ganbare Goemon: Toukai Douchuu (NDS, Konami): 7 / 7 / 6 / 7 - (27/40)

Two more great games then, and Advance Wars is going to be the must have we all thought it would be! I'll be giving Goemon a look as well when it comes out over here.

Not too shabby at all!

I'll definitely be getting Goemon regardless of most reviews, as Mystical Ninja on the N64 was never really rated that highly and I loved it anyway.

Awesome, completely missed Goemon on the 64 so this is a little chance to sample the delights, and Advance Wars DS - 'nuff said Smilie

Famicom Wars? Is the GBA called thE NES in Japan or something? Smilie
Anyway, 34/40 is a very good score, and just cerments the fact that I'll be picking this beauty up if I have the cash at the time!

woooo, great scores indeed.

Don't know aobut buying AW as i've never played it b4, but at least, more money for ninty!!!

Wow, nice scores there. I've never really been into Advance Wars, but I will probably pick this one up.

Japanese have had Advance wars since the famicom but since it appeared on the GBA for the first time in the west they named it Advance wars.

Firstly, Linkman, I'd strongly advice getting Advance Wars 1 or 2. They're great games even if your into that kindo thing (I thought it's all go over my head but the tutorial makes it oh so simple).

Really!? Damn you Nintendo, screwed us over again!! So Battalion Wars ISN'T the first home console version! Does anyone have any screenshots of the NES game?

call me linkman, dude.

Anyway, i've played the first one but it seemed a little boring for the first few minutes. I haven't played it since.

I'll probably try it again at my local gamestop.

The SNES one was (at least partially) the mould for the first GBA game, wasn't it?

Okies, dokies, just like how people call me fenno instead of fenno2001 I suppose!

Man, I really think I've missed out on something with those NES and SNES versions- at least we got it on the GBA though!

i will be judging it on how it uses the features that the DS has as most of the DS games available dont use them well enough, from the looks of thing this may as well been on the GBA (im not complaining about the graphics by the way) as it appears so similar with only an addition of some gimmicky second screen missle launch thingy.

-Have you any idea what it's like to be a Fembot living in a Manbot's Manputer's world?
-What?

Great scores, definitely picking up Advance Wars DS and might look into Goemon, since i liked the 64 version.

Yehs! advance wars is an absolute must purchase now - well it already was, but now its a must-import purchase Smilie

I'm glad to know that there were past advance wars games. Hopefully they'll come out in the revolution retro downloadables Smilie

Revolution download would rock! This'll be on the 'the UK never got it' list I think (along with Mario RPG, a load of RPG's (including Tales of games) and a lot more I'm sure...)

Oh, and Smilie at mseny!

Sorry for posting up roughly the same topic in general gaming Smilie
Naughty me Smilie

Anyway there was also another score some ppl may be interested in, bomberman...

bomberman-6 / 5 / 6 / 6 - (23/40)

However when i posted this i neglected to say it is the PSP version that they reviewed, so some of you were dissapointed, but its actually the PSP version, sorry :p

It is? No wonder why Smilie

Well...it'll be the same game...except you can touch Bomberman's...bombs?

9/10 just for that. Someone lit the fuse!

God you are so lucky you have a nice chest, otherwise we would take you outback and beat you with a hose for that. That was called total punage.

Bomberman will be great regardless, as will Advance Wars, any negative reviews are merely coming from the the reviewers sad childhood of being beaten when they were 6. Like I said, no bad reviews, just bad people.
