The biggest problem with the GameCube version in my experience was the social quality, although you were encouraged to have four players in the game, everyone had to play at seperate times, with very little interaction... it made me feel like there was a part of the game missing...

All you did was go and retreive Apollo's Pokemon Pikachu...everytime you played it...

Some variety and more length in the DS version would be nice...

Things like actually having messages on the message board that you or the computer haven't written are going to be one of the many highlights. I honestly cannot waste for this game and the sooner the better because people talk about Advance Wars taking the crown as being the best DS game of the year - Animal Crossing will definitly be a hot contender along with games like Mario Kart (which should also be online) and Super Mario Bros. (you never know)

I would hope that when the DS online thing is set up they introduce something on Nintendogs where you can download more dogs and equipment for your dogs.

Me too and it didn't help me not be able to find four people who were interested. Although, the GC version isn't online I found the trading password system very clever as a player could trade items over the net. This ought to be improved with the DS version as it is actually on-line. You never know, Nintendo could update it so there are more events, furniture things to do etc etc

Well you don't have to get anything if you don't want to. I usually don't. Try:

Fishing
Generally talking to people
Redecorating
The Stork market
Selling fruit and planting fruit
Visiting other peoples towns and sneaking some rare fruit and items back in to your own town! (classic)
Finding Fossils
Finding those crazy dancing things that go "bong" (what were they called again?)
Chopping down trees
Catching insects

There's plenty to do in this game man!

Did all that, it got boring. Fishing was my only outlet. Then I got bored of that.

i believe that i heard either on this website or on another that the wireless online feature should be ready by may and the realease date wil be around that month so if it goes to america first then japan its most likly to arrive in the uk around september allthought none of this is confirmed
and animal crossing had no confirmed date of realease in the uk or if it is coming here. But if it does its most likly u will have to buy animal crossing to get the free wireless adaptor
hope i helped

Wireless adapter?

Probably the best thing you've posted, evil_flame. Apart from the kisses at the end.

Wireless Adapter, eh? You mean like the one that you got with FireRed and LeafGreen, just this one has online capabilities? Hmm...

yea i heard about it on the website its official let me look up some information for you....
if you want some?

Is it the one that looks like a DS with a USB connecter sticking out? If not lets see the info

Free wireless adaptor? Doubt it. It might be bundled with the game, but... well, it'd cost Nintendo at least a tenner. So the game would be forty. And some people already have WiFi at home.

I think the one you're talking about, Blade, was fake. It wasn't a nintendo official product, that's for sure.

yeah i know its fake but thats the only wirless adpater i can think of that may have people thinkin that nintendo might bundle a wirless adapter

The USB wireless hotspot adapter things are going to be everywhere when DS gets online. There'll probably be PSP ones as well so it's not just going through tunneling.

As for Animal Crossing, it's fun but got repetitive because it was a 'fake' social game. Once it's online, it'll be far better, especially since you'll be able to actually get a job and such (hopefully not just at Tom Nook's - imagine being a policeman and stuff as well!), and there'll be more customisation in terms of your house, etc.

Still, I've not reached the point of the topic - my prediction for Animal Crossing DS is, soon after E3, perhaps even as early as late June so that they're competing with PSP's online functions. It wouldn't surprise me if they're translating as they go along either so they can pass it over to America and Europe pretty sharpish.

imagine being a policeman and stuff as well!

Yay! Make money via people bribing you! Can't wait! On-line towns should be much bigger as well, with oppertunities for libaries, a couple of train stations (that go to each other!) and other stuff as well.

no its not a fake the one i'm taking about its official news on nintendo's europe site a friend gave me the link....
i will ask him for it please hold on...
right this is the link from the nintendo of europe
