This year. That's all that's been said.

I believe EBGames is the only one to give a date. Their date for the game is around the end of November of this year. Just check out their list of upcoming DS games at EBGames.com.
hmmmm, i reckon between september and november from rumblings around the net.....nothings confirmed though, but was the "F" word really neccesary in that post??
It better be out this summer because I'm kinda bored.
Yes, let's all listen to EBgames. We all know they're about as reliable as IGN when it comes to release dates.

Too true. I'm really looking forwar to this game I wonder what differences they would be between this and the GC version.

Online and talking to other strangers.
If it can provide the same experience of the GameCube version, but on-line, then it is successful in my books... and so far it looks good, hopefully it'll sell a few DS units too.
It had better have more playability than the GameCube version. I find the home console one so boring! Hopefully online features will clear that up...

I'm sure there'll be a spate of USB plug-ins that allow your DS to use your PC as a hotspot - you can already get something that'll do the job for

And then when the Revolution comes out, hopefully that'll act as a hotspot.
, 12 kids in MacDonalds playing Animal Crossing while eating greasy Chicken Nuggets...

True, true.
It'll probably be Nintendo's preferred method, actually. Especially if they take the slightly more expensive route and allow more than one DS to connect to the Revo at a time - Clan Warfare! Though thinking about it, Nintendo really aren't going to splash out on anything, are they? .
I expect Animcal Crossing to come out later this year when Nintendo release the free subscriptions for online for the DS, and Animal Crossing will be one of the first games online avalibale.
also nintendogs- that'll be awesome to take online!!!
I doubt that'll happen...
I just hope it dosn't turn too 'sims-ey'. I actually don't like the sims, so if it does, that'll be a dissapointment to me.
I assume your back on Animal Crossing here? I thought that with AC you directly control the character?
Well if you have played AC on Gamecube, you know its different from the Sims by alot. AC has a more fantasy, animal happy feel about it and Sims is more of a modern life. With this in mind its very likey that the AC DS will follow the same method of gameplay as the GC one.

The only thing that will really attract me to the DS version will be the online capabilities...so hopefully they'll make it good. And they need more stuff in it, the old game was far too boring, not much to do once you've paid of thatfat mortgage (which was pretty tedious itself)
okay, ive never played AC before, but ive heard and am hoping its good

Uh, Oh, Stranger Danger.....and lots of people called Bob
I can see it being way better than the GC version. You'd get more done, having double the amount of screens 'n' all, and it gets kinda boring just playing on your own.
The touch screen should help a lot as well! Writing letters, changing items etc. Hey, perhaps the letters will basically work like e-mail?
