I though 28 days later was a good film but didnt have the "can't get the images out of my head" factor to it. I dont really have a favourite but my most hated one has to be The Village....sigh....pathetic excuse to make more money.
I can safely say that I don't have any faveorite horror movies.

realy not even one you particuly like more than any other one
Evil Dead Trilogy.
Am very dubious about forthcoming "remake".

What about the scene where he puts his thumbs in the guys eye sockets?
Evil Dead Trilogy.

I loved Evil Dead II and The Evil Dead Army of Darkness.
Evil Dead 1 wasnt SO great but still good.
I too am pretty dubious, and im just hearing about them, im presuming they dont have Bruce Campbell?
Also I loved
Dawn Of The Dead (new)
Day Of The Dead
Braindead
Day of the Dead was amazing. the best one out of the whole series.

Sorry. It was a cack-handed attempt at humour at your expense. I believe the word you're looking for is 'favourite', or possibly 'favorite' if you want to use the inferior US English. I apologise. Either way, I'm not a big horror fan.
Yeah, I'm a pussy.
What about the scene where he puts his thumbs in the guys eye sockets?
That bit was immense. Though I believe the part when she hacks that dude to death is better
Best horor movie ever : Shaun Of The Dead Absolute genius.
Shaun of the Dead! Wooo! FUNK YEAH!

I dunno, both Sam Raimi and Bruce are meant to be keeping an eye on it, so are not going to let it be ruined like most remakes. Although with Sam Raimi's presenting duties latlety, namely Boogeyman, I am a little worried about him just tossing his name about.
Evil Dead 1 is a classic though, and although 2 is better in a lot of ways, the first one has the nostalgia.
My favoured horror movies include: Romero's Living Dead trilogy (Night, Dawn and Day), along with the remake (That is how you remake a movie!) and the Alien quadrilogy as I am big with the old Sci-fi franchise.
'Evil Dead 2' is effectively a remake of the first, anyway.
Thing is, Raimi's direction and Campbell's personality are what have always made the movies great; they're what made Evil Dead 1 more than just a mundane little video-nasty; they're what made Evil Dead 2 one of the greatest films ever; and they're what gave Army of Darkness the power to rise above its ridiculous premise....
The texas chainsaw massacre.
Attack of the killer tomatoes.
lol lol

Although it recycles set pieces from the first one, the story essentially makes it more of a continuation, but the added beginning is still a little confusing. I'm sure the remake won't be able to recapture all of what Evil Dead is about, but with both Bruce and Sam on hand; they can lend their ideas and insight. But I do not envy the guy who plays Ash. Bruce made that role, and I don't think it can be beat.
My main worry is that they just overdo the CGI and make it feel hollow.

If you think about it, its not much of a horror, friggin funny though
No horror has the ability to scare me, but The Ring came closest to it. I'd say that or Halloween for having a kick-ass storyline .
House on haunted Hill, is one of the worst, pathetic films I've ever seen.
The Blair Witch Project was rather good though.
The Blair witch project was pathetic. But thben im more of a shock a minute man rather than a pshycoligical thriller type film.
The texas chainsaw massacre gets my vote.
Has to be Shaun of the Dead, if only for the look on his face when they push the zombie in the garden onto the metal post thing.

Yea, it really is a shame they didnt have campbell in the new Evil Dead.
Why the hell dont they!?

From what I can gather, he turned it down. He's happy to be involved in some way, but felt he was too old to reprise the role of Ash.
I guess it's the first Evil Dead they're remaking; when the 'Ash' character hadn't really been developed - in which case, perhaps they'll get away with it...
Or When the gang show each other their impressions of zombies!
The Exorcist.
Damn damn damn, that scared me so much.
I first saw it when i was like, 9.
Bad idea.
That so put me off horror movies for LIFE.
