I'll stick with my DS for now, and if I want speculation, I'll speculate on c3.
As long as Nintendo continue to support DS after the GBA2 launch I dont see a problem. Its going to be at least a year after DS launch...
I feel the DS is something different
I read this and I'm still not sure, all I know that is for now I'll just be playing my DS and GBA SP. If a new gameboy is released I'll get it, if a new DS and GBA style are released thenh I won't get it. I don't like to guess about it all.
I'd bomb their fooking base.
i'd love to see a new gameboy by the end of this year, sure it could be potentially suicidal, but as long as support is continued for the DS, i think it can be done. i don't think a new game boy would eat into the DS's potential buying audience, it would eat into the PSP's, imo
That's the thing. If the GBA comes out, and is pushed like the DS was. The DS will die witin 6 months. Let alone the poor old GBA!
I read something about this on SPONG...........
To soon to tell IMO.
FALSE!
Ignore everything you have read, Chris Morris has lost the plot.
This speculation of new hardware is not the next Game Boy (the Game Boy Evolution), the speculation is surrounding a new Game Boy Advance/SP - and is still just unfounded speculation at it's very best.
P.J. McNealy's speculation:
"We believe it is likely that the next version of the Game Boy Advance SP will ship as early as this holiday, ahead of most expectations of calendar year 2006,"
Nintendo's response:
"It's a case of looking at this McNealy report and someone putting two and two together and coming up with five. McNealy's report is him putting two and two together and coming up with four. It's just his opinion, and not endorsed by Nintendo in any way."
Of note though is they don't rubbish speculation of a new SP, however at no point in any of this issue is the GBE involved.
Chris Morris has written an intirely flawed article, with no logic, truth or fact involved - this should be diregarded entirely!
What? SPOnG reported speculation as fact? Oh no, my world is crumbling around me...
Even worse - it was CNN Money.
Though it's no surprise SPONG continued this rubbish
And then Cubed3 posting the Spong rumors.
I wouldn't go on what spong said. However gameindustry biz as well as CNN posted it so I figured I would post and see what yall thought.
i think thats fagged bringin out the new GBA in the sme year of the DS
O well i will get it
We don't even know if it'll happen - I still think it's unlogical speculation, there's no real evidence of it happening anyway.
What else could they do anyway? Internal Play-Yan, headphone jack = not worth their time. Especially considering the P-Y has just been released.
I'll wager Mr McNealy is talking out of the wrong hole again.
Lets hope anyway! That would really burn my biscuits!
This dosn't deserve to be posted I tells ya!
I think there's been a misinterpretation by the original thread poster on this news. According to gamescentral on channel 4, this analyst PJ McNealy has predicted a new GBA SP for Xmas. And by this he means that Nintendo are to remodel the sp, as they did with the GBA. It does not mean that Nintendo are brining out a GBA 2 or GBE. It's not a next gen GBA to compete with the PSP.

I can't understand SPOnG at all, it looks like a reasonable site (with a few too many ads maybe...), but they consistently push bad rumours as factual stories...?
