Zoids: Battle Legends (GameCube) Reader Review

Zoids is a mech battle game based on the cartoon series.

The game has you choose from a variety of modes. The first is campaign mode. In this mode, you can start off as faction A or faction b. Either way, you will be on missions.

The missions range from killing a certain number of zoids to defending an area. Some missions can seem impossible, such as facing 3 enemies while the game only gives you one partner.

You also receive upgrades, but they are replaced constantly. You might start with a +1 armor piece, only to replace that permanently with a +2 armor piece. In this way, strategic options are more narrow.

There is also battle mode where you can duke it out with bots or another play. The zoids themselves aren't completely balanced as some of the later models can crush the smaller ones.
