The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube) Reader Review

Ever since Twilight Princess was announced for the Wii at E3 06 the GC version of the game seemed to dissapear from the spotlight. But what some people forget is that the GC version is the original version, the game everyone had seen until E3 06. Both versions are great in their individual aspects, but for me the GC version is that little bit better. Why? It is easy to pick up and play and Link is actually left handed (Zelda fanboyism, I know).
Also all the aspects of the game that weren't quite next gen in the Wii version, such as the graphics, are forgivable in the GC version. The controls are perfectly fine, though the Wii version wins just slightly in that aspect. The graphics are amazing for the GC, almost topping Resi 4. The music, if a bit basic at times, is very catchy and memoriable. The gameplay is near perfect and you are most likely to spend at least 50 hours on the main quest alone (the side quests make it up to 70 hours total!), the story is amazing too. The replayability is almost endless, the side quests adding to the mix.
Overall I have to say this. Oot is no longer the best Zelda anymore, Twilight Princess takes the throne.
