Front Mission Sequel on Nintendo DS in May (Japan)

By Adam Riley 04.03.2008 3

Square Enix has confirmed that its new Strategic RPG, Front Mission 2089: Border of Madness for the Nintendo DS, will hit in May over in Japan. Originally a mobile phone game from back in 2005, the company has been busying itself with the remake for the past year now to take full advantage of the DS features (but appears to be ditching Wi-Fi elements...). Now it has been confirmed that Japan will see the game on 29th May, 2008, with a Western release sadly unconfirmed at this present time.

The game's official website has also been updated, with lots of new screenshots and various desktop wallpapers (below is an example, click to enlarge).

But with the first game still not confirmed for a European release, hopes for this arriving as well are quite slim...

Why don't they bring this over to Western shores.Smilie

Not quite sure. Perhaps like how Dragon Quest Heroes bombed in the US, because of low sales over there, S-E's Euro branch didn't want to take a risk Smilie Shame, as it was 'confirmed' to me last year twice. Seems plans changed...
