There seems to be quite a difference in opinion about this game, that for me is enough for me not to want to own it. The very concept of a on the rails RPG (sort of) sounds crazy. I will give this a miss and wait of Crystal Bearers. This is dumbing down for a younger market in my eyes.

After SE are done with and are hugely successful with the DS games they are offering I hope they get to grips with the Wii in the right manner. For how long that will take much will rest the Wii Ware game I think. That could be a huge success on cost alone if the game is good. On the evidence of the screens we see I think it will be myself. Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon looks pretty sweet also of course. I hope they are both great games.

I don't know. It still looks like a lot of fun to me. I'll rent it first before I buy it. Don't knock it till you try it right?

But I do agree with you Link. I hope that SE will start to focus more on the Wii after all the ports and remakes on the DS. I really want a big RPG offering from them on the Wii

Pfft, only kids care about supposed dumbing-down of RPGs. I don't care if it's been "dumbed-down" to make it easier to play for kids. I don't have the time to wander about on a map to find out where I need to be going next. I don't have the time to spend a couple of hours grinding to beat the next boss. If I have to do that, I just don't play it any more because I have other things to be doing than playing games.

What makes this interesting for me is that Hori-san was directly involved in the game to help make it much more impressive than the original TV plug-in title 'Kenshin Dragon Quest'. He's only ever worked on his baby's main series entries so far, meaning his involvement in this side project came as quite a shock to most people.
