Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: Colour Changes

Today's Smash Bros. update reveals the many different costumes/colour changes players can use to give characters that extra zing: from Fire Mario to Camouflage Snake, Dark Link to Fusion-Suit Samus!

You can change the color of your character by pressing buttons on the character-selection screen! This is one of the many joys of Smash. This time, each character has about six different color variations.

We've added Fire Mario to the selection.

He's white! Is this Yeti DK?

What's this?! Dark Link?!

The Fusion Suit is a must.

The Dark Fox. That's pretty cool.

Th-those... I've seen those before somewhere...

This is the Zelda of old.

Golden colors and fallen angel colors.

Hmm... These are the colors of an ordinary soldier.

Snake changed his camouflage!

The end result is a great wealth of varieties, so I hope you'll all find your favorite color combinations.

Dark Link! Hooray! Mighty fine looking bad-ass Hylian.

Good costumes/colour changes, shame some aren't as dramatic as others though.

That Leopard skin print on Snake is sooo Roberto Cavalli Smilie .

Nice range of tweaks.

I would rather have proper alt costumes, but I'm happy a Fusion styled Varia Suit was included, not to mention Classic Zelda & Fire Mario, I guess they can be creative with just alt. colours.

I wish it was the same for Sonic.

Hehe, dark link looks awesome. I always loved the color changing. Don't know why, but it was just another cool feature the game had.

OMG, green Pika is sucking red Pika off while blue Pika is keeping an eye out for things Smilie

I'm liking the look of the alt-colours, I'll be using them a lot more in Brawl than in Melee it seems.^^

This is a nice feature, it's better than just a color change. Fire Mario and Fusion Suit Samus look nice.

Sweet, sweet Fire Mario, Dark Link and Fusion Suit Samus.

I really thought they would have had a Dark Samus/Phazon Suit Samus in there, that would have been a nice touch. The different Snake camoflauges are cool to espcially the orange one.

Well since they made new costumes for Pikachu, maybe Ness might come back as a costume for Lucas. Smilie

Dark Link for the win. i hope this means that Wario will get his real costume not his wario ware costume.

Dark Link and Dark Fox/Wolfen looka-likey are fucking awsome.... also Samus, Mario & DK looks awsome... well they all do tbh!

No your not alone my friend, it does look BADASS... also I was readin in IGN that apparently the Pikachu in this game is the Pichu that was on Melee evolved... riiight!?!?

That is cool, dark link looks sick (as does zelda)! I hope the light suit is there, that was the best one for samus.

I really like that they are actually taking advantage of the colour changes. Melee was kinda disappointing because mario's fire costume wasnt that difficult of a colour change. Fusion suit Samus is awesome i think that will be my main pick for Samus. I was very excited that dark link went beyond a black tunic, but from that screenshot it seems that the blue costume will not be a Zora Tunic lie in Twilight Princess but just a Blue Recolor.

Another thing that looks promising based on the Dark Link is that Sonic could have Shadow as an alt.
