Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: Norfair Engulfs Brawl

It's Brawling time in today's Smash Bros. official update with the Metroid arena Norfair making its grand appearance on the list of new levels.

Norfair is the location in Metroid where the enemy boss Ridley was. There was a lot of lava, and it seemed like a rather hot area.

As you can imagine, the lava level will indeed rise and cover the platforms. It's dangerous to touch it.

That dangerous-to-the-touch lava comes flowing from a number of places, so be careful.

The tension rises. Yes.

When the lava wave appears, a single safe area will also appear. If you can get in, you'll be safe...but surely there will be quite a battle for that spot. Yet another bit of back and forth.

You can barely dodge the massive lava wave with a great jump, but it's a little difficult. Besides, you KNOW you want to win the battle for that safe area.

Be sure to stick with C3 for future updates...

The Capsule part looks like it'd be a unique element, but other than that, Meh. Smilie

Hmm maybe this is where we will see Samus join the subspace emmisary. and where she must take on Ridly as a boss...and where you can unlock him as a character?

A fail so epic, it may just be a win.

I was hoping for a more organic looking stage but oh well. Now that they have added some more Kirby characters, I am hoping for some new Metroid Characters. How about some assist trophies featuring the animal helpers from Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion? Or perhaps Dark Samus or a Space Pirate as a playable character?

It would be another falco like clone character... Like pikachu to pichu... Although a raichu instead would be nice... No hurting your self eighter(stupid pichu) Smilie

Also look at the background or the level... it looks like you could have another whole fight back there Smilie

I don't know what will happen with Pokemon Trainer on this stage. Maybe he has some type of hover craft for these levels. The background does look like it can be a stage on its own. To tell you the truth I'd rather fight on the platforms in the background since they look more Metroid.

maby he will still the hover scooter from Xd or he will keep up with the trainer by jumping around the platform... Can't wait to try this level out for my self Smilie
