Nintendo Media | Smash Update: Ike Erupts on Stage

Nintendo have revealed a few of Fire Emblem's Ike's special moves in today's Official Smash Bros. Brawl update: the air slashing aether and the charging up eruption special.

His up special allows him to throw up his sword, jump up, catch it, and slash the poor souls below. For a moment he becomes resistant to attacks, still taking damage, but not flinching if attacked.

His standard special, Eruption, allows for a devastating attack to be charged up and unleashed on fellow smashers.

Love it! Aether in FE PoR was awesome. Great to see the move again- non final smash as well. Looking forward to see what his final smash will be.

Interesting update - we all were wondering if Aether would be Ike's Final Smash.

Now, my question is if he pulls this off in a quick fashion, much like Marth's Up-B move. Nice to see they're continuing the classic FE standard-B attack, too. Smilie

Reminds me of Kirby's B-Up move. Also kinda reminded me of Captain Falcon's but with more "BOOM!"..

Hope he's not going to be cheap because of this move.
