It doesnt matter what people call the game, no, but the fact is that MP3 is looking too much like an FPS (by my deffinition), and not enough like what made the other games great.

Then go watch some videos that plainly do. The game has always been referred too as an FPS, it's the fans and press that have called it an FPA, not Nintendo. Right from the first E3 demo it showed a fair bit of exploration and it's already been said (and seen) that the sky city area is practically based around exploration.

Actually, if you look on Nintendo.com for 'Prime 1 and 2, you'll see that under 'Genre', it says 'FPA'.

Yeah, they made a typoSmilie

NoE

NoA

NoE likes to call it action or FPS, and NoA calls the first FPA, but mentions nothing of the second (simply listed under first person).

It all seems like splitting hairs to me, I mean FPA or FPS, it doesn't really matter does it? Both shooting and adventure elements play vital roles in the Metroid Prime and early 2D Metroid games.
