Nintendo News | Ubisoft Bringing New IPs to Wii

Quick News - Ubisoft's vice president, Tony Key, has confirmed that not only will Horsez come to Wii before Christmas, but Dogz and Catz as well. He also stated that once 2008 arrives, the company is "absolutely creating Wii-exclusive brands right now, many of them."

This, coupled with Ubisofts promise to make better Wii games in the future, sounds good I guess. Covers the pet simulation games on Wii anyhow.

I hope as much effort is put into their New IPs for Wii as they're putting into games like Assassin's Creed.

I know they are aiming those games at a certain market and we shouldn't be too critical, but geez. If they balanced with other 'better' games, I could live with it, after all, it is about games for all demographics.

I hope once metroid comes out. More FPS are announced and the controls from metroid are used as a template so developers can concentrate on the story and other parts of their games. Hopefully red steel 2 will be far better recieved. The reality is companies will be determined to come up with their own solution instead of borrowing ideas from other companies and most control systems will be greatly flawed.
More to the point im expecting good things from ubi next year despite the crap so far demonstrated

Maybe they'll actually do some good work though. I'm playing Red Steel right now (rent), and it's not terrible. Yes, the controls are the worse part, but so far it's playable. If they fix the controls, Red Steel 2 (are they making one?) will be great.

I don't know what his gf ever saw in him. Maybe she just liked his big manly hands. 'Cos that's all he's got.

I mean, I don't really blame those Yakuza guys, I mean, if you saw a floating hand holding a gun, & you had a gun too, you'd want to fucking shoot it.

I reckon the sequel should be called, Scottz, or Red Steelz.

I also think Ubisoft should make Amoebaz. & Humanz. & probably Gamez too.

EDIT: & really, if you think about it, they should call it "Azzazzinz Creedz" 'cos then people won't be able to call it AssAssins Creed.
