I have quite a morbid nature, and therefore I've been recently looking for a way to get into the Castlevania games - they sound like my sort of thing. A Wii version would be high on my most-wanted list if 'twere to be confirmed.
Yeah. This guy has not say in any big decisions. He is just the US representative and all the big decisions are made in Japan HQ. He should just be honest and say, "I have no idea." to most of these questions. What a waste of time and energy to track this guy down for these answers. I could have answered the same things from all I know about the Castlevania/Dracula franchise. Make a first person like Metroid Prime. That would be pretty cool. And use alot of mirrors to trick the users etc. Be creative and have some creepiness please. And get away from this anime crap and get back to the old school traditional painting style.
I know what you guys mean, but out of the interview I liked this particular answer:
I'm very pleased with the outcome of Portrait of Ruin. The gameplay really feels like an extension of the classic formula with the dual characters but still feels and plays like an authentic Castlevania title. Out of all of the features and gameplay components, I think that if we had more time in development, we would have liked to expand on the multi-player and with the concept of the Shop Mode. Adding additional courses or side-quests for the multi-player modes and maybe even working out a way to add a 2nd player into the main game would have been great to add.
It shows they already have potential ideas for the next in the series, most likely on the DS considering the game has surpassed expectations so far (especially in the US).
So this guy - likes every platform - Wii features some pros and ...wait, there are no cons! - Sales on VC where good. Maybe more. Maybe not. - There is a Castlevania which was released only in Japan (NO SHIT! *g*) - he revealed which Castlevanias are coming out on PSP. a) who the hell wants Castlevania on PSP? Get them out on DS or Wii, you twerps! b) You rule, man! I never knew which two games are being released on PSP. Wait! I just read it back 6 months ago in my local Gamepro? So why the heck do We need you then? *lol*
Shame for all the work you guys put in to track him down, C3-guys. But keep up the good C3 exclusives!
They changed the artist for Dawn of Sorrow to 'attract a younger audience'. Soma Cruz went from

I must say his taste in trousers improved, but I think I prefer the old art... Thankfully that absolutely AWFUL art at the top of the interview isn't the stuff they used. The actual stuff is a lot better.
Well... A bit better >_>

If they actually did do proper co-op for the full story mode instead of just the Boss Russ courses I probably wouldn't leave my room for a very, very long time...
