Japanese News | Latest Nintendo Updates (Panel de Pon DS, More English Training, etc...)

By Adam Riley 21.02.2007 9

It is that time of the week again where the latest news and updates from Japan are pieced together in one handy news post. This time thanks go out to Jonnyram of NeoGAF for providing the majority of the translation work. First up is the announcement of two new Wii games for Japan. The first is the localised version of movie tie-in Meet the Robinsons, which will now be called 'Lewis and the Future Burglar'. The second is titled 'Mahou Sensei Negima Neo Pactio Fight', which appears to be based on a popular anime show and is apparently being worked on by Konami.

On top of this, at a conference today Nintendo has revealed some dates up until the end of April:

Nintendo DS

  • More English Training - 29th March, 2007
  • Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 - 12th April, 2007
  • International Daredemo Asobi Taizen - 19th April, 2007
  • Nodame Cantabile - 19th April, 2007
  • Panel de Pon - 26th April, 2007
  • DK King of Swing 2 has been placed on the Nintendo schedule again it seems. As for Panel de Pon (most will know as Tetris Attack or Pok

I didn't know Yoshi's Island 2 and Mario vs DK hadn't come out in Japan yet. I'm quite surprised that the US is getting a lot more Nintendo loving than usual. I played Pok

It makes sense for Nintendo to not to release Yoshi's Island anytime soon, there already NSMB which stills churns out 3/40k a week, Wario Master of Disguise has just been released, along with Mario vs. DK and King of Swing. All of that equals platform overload. Nintendo should keep it for a dry period *fuck who am i kidding when have the DS ever had a dry period in japan Smilie*

More English Training..... piss take.....another million seller no doubt Smilie Nintendo were do you keep your money.

That Wii first party line for 2007 is erection material Smilie

Wario Master of Disguise...that is the one after WarioLand 4 on GBA, isn't it?

    Not sure to be honest.

I bet there is one C3er who knows though.

Wario Master of Disguise is indeed the latest Wario platform game, developed by Suzak, the Japanese team that did the GBA F-Zero games for Nintendo. It's a very enjoyable game actually...I've just not had much time to play it lately.

Smilie wow some AAA games coming out this year for Wii Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Great great, more games. I'm really lookng forward to playing Super Paper Mario. Smilie

It looks like a nice line up from Nintendo, you have your main franchises, some old rehashes and then some totally new franchises.

Is Doubutsu no Mori meant to be Fire Emblem or have they not included it in the list because its been released in Japan already?

That is one fucking solid line up!! I'm going to be losing yet again a lot of money this year.
