By Adam Riley 16.11.2006 16

The latest reviews are now available from weekly Japanese publication Famitsu. Only three DS games were covered this week, but at least two have the potential to be big hitters. The Boktai trio of GBA games (only two were released in the West) have always been popular in Japan, so all eyes are definitely on this DS d

does marvelous make any other games besides the half yearly Harvest Moon updates?

Don't know. But that's no downfall. Does Bungie makes other games beside the 3yearly Halo?

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Well, they've been doing it since 1993 I think. If I was employed there I would be pretty sick of Harvest Moon right now.

They're a publisher, Natsume make Harvest Moon.

Marvelous also publish stuff like Contact on the DS and Heroes on the Wii.

They are the joint parent company of Rising Star (Joint with the company that distributes Nintendo in Scandinavia who's name escapes me), who publish some of their stuff in Europe.

You probably never hear about some of the stuff they publish only in Japan.

They're also very friendly with Nintendo.

i thought Suda 51 made Heroes on the Wii and grasshoper manufacter made contact on the DS, in fact i am nearly sure of it.

The Scandavian distrubtor is something along the lines of Belsrik something like that it has slipped my mind.

To be fair Marvelous have made great strides in games industry and are as Grumbler said very good to Nintendo

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Oh and Suda51 is the nickname of the main bloke at Grasshopper. Both games are made by Grasshopper.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Ah right, replace Marvelous with Natsume then.

Oh right that has cleared a lot up.

Why don't they just stick with one name the silly willies

Natsume actualy make quite a lot of other stuff, just not as high profile.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

No chance of that.

There's nothing wrong with doing a trilogy one after the other.

Star Wars

Have Famitsu reviewed Yoshi's Island 2 yet? Maybe I missed it... I saw that Gamespot gave it a 9.1. I was expecting a bit more I guess, but it's still awesome

It's got 84 on Metacritic, with mainly the Ziff Davis duo pulling it down and Gamespot up the top.

Christ Phantom Hourglass is out soon, I'd completely forgotten about that.

Marvelous has stacks of DS content: Ys Strategy, Luminous Arc, Harvest Moon DS, Harvest Moon DS for Girls, Harvest Moon Island, Lunar Genesis, Contact...just to name the ones I can think of off the top of my head Smilie

Great to see Boktai getting such a strong score...but I'm really losing a LOT of faith in Famitsu reviews. I disagreed with the average Kirby review and feel the same about their views on Castlevania: PoR (it's the best one yet, imo) Smilie
