Nintendo Wii News | First UK Adverts Shown - Footage Inside!

A whole new slogan for Nintendo now, as the first UK adverts are starting to air on various TV channels. So far they have been spotted on E4, Channel 4, UKTV Gold, Sky Sports News and Challenge TV. The advert (shown below), features the Wii controller, a quick voiceover and very little else.

It all seems very much in line with the recent boom in 'teaser' commercials that leave the viewer wanting more information. Expect the campaign to develop and evolve over coming weeks as the Wii is fully unveiled in commercial form; games and all. Personally we really like it, but no doubt some will be up in arms about it being 'awful'.

    Makes a change from the 30 second ad for a few days then the minature version afterwards, which is predominant on TV today (AKA cheap-ass advertising).

    Should be a good approach anyway ... if the blitz adverts are good.

    I think the voice is fine, tbrh. But I suppose that is because I prefer Tesco's ads to big crazy Sony Bravia ones. Smilie
