Nintendo Media | Mazes of Fate - First Screens & Info

By Adam Riley 06.10.2006 14

Many companies are now turning to the Game Boy Advance as they did with the PSone as it looked to be dying out, seeing it as a cheap way to get their games to a massive userbase. A key example is with this new announcement of an First-Person RPG called 'Mazes of Fate'. Below are the official details for the game:

Mazes of Fate is a console game developed by Sabarasa Entertainment, and co-developed by Graffiti Entertainment. It's a first-person role-playing game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld console.

Some quick facts about Mazes of Fate:

  • 5 chapters of a deep story,
  • 3 preset characters plus the ability to create a custom one,
  • 5 secondary characters that can join your party,
  • 3 different magic schools,
  • 40 magic spells,
  • 19 skills for customising your characters just as you like,
  • 100+ interactive, dynamic and animated dialogues,
  • 300+ different items,
  • 60+ enemy types,
  • 50+ levels,
  • 25+ hours of play!
  • So there you have it, a nice little RPG that will hopefully get released in the near future. Be sure to check out the first screens in the media folder!

Looks a little like Deep Labyrinth on the DS...

Smells of overly ambitious project that means well but probably won't turn out that great.

Bet 505 Game Street picks this up!

GBA games now are bollocks do say the least

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

    This looks retarded. Enough said.

Lol, doesn't look *that* bad, quite nice for the GBA Smilie

Looks like Dungeon Master, but less ugly.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

It looks like the kind of game Majesco would publish...Smilie

Um, maybe not Smilie. Look at Majesco's GBA games. Look at Zoo Digital's GBA games. It'd be one of those I reckon.

What's you guy's problem with it? It's a pretty standard looking FPRPG, with fantastic sprites.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

Meh GBA games that come from no were and promise to be all amazing and stuff never live up to expectations.

I know someone looking for Eye Of The Beholder on GBA. He may like this one.

And you guys are strange: You hail for retro games and jump around when Kid Icarus gets rereleased, but this game, which may be quite mordern in gameplay and certainly modern in graphic (against most retro games anyway), you spit on!

Give it a chance and let the cube-guys check it out.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

In all honesty, I am not being overly pessimistic about this game...its just that...I don't really see where the market is nowadays for GBARPGs with the likes of FF, FE and even Pok
