Nintendo Wii Media | Bleach Wii Screenshots

By Karn Spydar Lee Bianco 16.09.2006 15

The Japanese anime franchise known as Bleach has already undergone Nintendo's DS treatment courtesy of much loved developers Treasure. Not content with that, the next installment is set to make its way onto the Wii.

Up until now all we had been graced with were some magazine scans and a single trailer, well now we can finally reveal some of the very first official screenshots (located in the album below).

Bleach is an original Japanese anime (which goes by the same name as the games) and has risen greatly in popularity with gamers since the DS version was released (import figures are a testament to this).

Specific details are still scarce at the time of writing, but be sure to stick with Cubed3 for the latest updates as and when we get them!

I think it looks gorgeous. wonderful style!
I sometimes think, that 'just a fighter' does not give me much to enjoy, but then I think about Soulcalibur.
I'm eager to hear/read more of Bleach!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Doesn't look bad - character models are good. Background does look a little shite though, a bit like a sorta generic anime-styled fighter really.

jb, dunnow if you follow the show, but in the show itself the environments are pretty sterile, so it's not really developers lazyness or somethingSmilie

Its keeping in character with the show and the trailer makes the game look so fast paced you won't notice the backgrounds - if anything plain backgrounds are a great thing in fighting games as they don't distract from the action.

I have heard great things about Bleach but have never played it

Huh...Cel-shading. Cool I guess.

If you want it to look like anime you need to use cell shading to keep that cartoony aspect.

Indeed, and from what I've seen of the anime, it looks like it will be an ineteresting game that I might try.

I agree with Lauraline. The artistic stlye of this game is gorgeous. Apart from myself and The Evil Shy Guy has anyone seen the anime? If you have then you'll appreciate the art work here. Smilie We want Wii now.....!

Yep, this game looks great. And as long as Wii isn't region locked (or at least if this game isn't) i'm gonna import asap. The anime is great btw, those who havnt seen it should start watching it now or at least start reading the manga.

Awsome.

Hmmm, it does look rather like the Anime, which is good. I'm more interested in how it plays.

I love the way the shadowing is a bunch of lines like an ink drawing. I would also like to see how it plays.

Well my brother saw the bit where they swing the controller for attacking and he immeadiately wanted one.
