Nintendo News | New Square-Enix IP Hits DS

By Mike Mason 13.09.2006 8

Further to the announcements of the Final Fantasy XII DS spin off and Heroes Of Mana coming to DS, Square-Enix have decided to drop another bomb ahead of the Tokyo Game Show - they have revealed a brand new IP that they have in development for Nintendo DS!

Subarashiki Kono Sekai (It's A Wonderful World) is a 'touch action' RPG. It is set in the modern day, and character design has been assigned to Tetsuya Nomura, designer of games such as Chrono Trigger, various Final Fantasy titles and Parasite Eve, and Gen Kobayashi. The title will be developed by the Kingdom Hearts team.

This news can only be good to Square-Enix fans who own a DS - can we hope that the same amount of support will transfer over to Wii?

Massive thanks to neo2046 of NeoGAF for the information and scan.

PSP definitely am cry I guess.
Square-Enix doesn't even have a million seller on DS and still so much support!

But they are making so much money of the DS due to low development costs developing for the PSP is like developing for the PS2 so what really is the point of developing for the PSP
