Nintendo News | Meet and Greet Charles Martinet

By Jorge Ba-oh 09.09.2006 6

UK retailer GAME has promised an exclusive promotion running in London on September 15th, where gamers will be able to meet and greet the voice behind the Italian Stallion, Charles Martinet.

According to Rewired Mind, GAME in Oxford Street, London, will be hosting the event with special prizes for turning up, including a special autograph signing between 12pm and 4pm. The first 18 customers take away a free copy of the DS hit New Super Mario Bros, with the next 10 receiving a limited edition Mario T-Shirt.

"Customers have been waiting a long time to hear specific details about the hotly anticipated console, the Nintendo Wii, so we've given them a recognisable industry figure to keep them entertained whilst they wait."
Robert Quinn, Sales Director at GAME

Information on the Wii's release in Europe is expected during the company's press conference also on the 15th.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."
