wow that is alot of orders. i hope nintendo have been stockpiling ds' for this one i think it will sell a million in two weeks. wouldn't it be amazing if it sold a million in a week. that would be a first i think.
I second that Laurelin. After all the delay, I finally walked into Game and Purchased my Black DS lite With Brain Training. I just can't wait for FFIII to hit Western Shores i'm pretty sure that it's going to be a hit as it obviously will in Japan.
i'd expect it to be a bigger hit in the west since it has not been released here ever in any form. at least the japanese had a chance to play it way back when.
A bigger hit than in Japan? Wow, that would be okay for me, but not easy to accomplish.
But count me in for a customer here. Maybe with a shiny little DSlite in cool FF-look?
And there's still another 3 weeks before the game is released! It'll be huge, no doubt about that!
Will definitely be one of DS's strongest titles this year!
Wasn't as high as NSMB was it, that was something like 800k to 1m, or maybe i am wrong
Mario had store pre-orders of 1.3 million, whilst Nintendo shipped an initial amount of 800,000, quickly bumping that figure up during the first week to meet the staggering demand, which is why it sold 900,000 units in week one.
Hopefully Square Enix will up the shipment to meet FFIII's demand. Heck, with the constant coverage and great adverts at the moment it should easily meet 500,000 in its first week...I don't think the DS is as front-loaded as PS2 games, with DS titles being slow burners rather than just 'flash in the pan' games.
