Nintendo of America have announced the line-up for the fourth annual Nintendo Fusion Tour 2006. Prepare to be dazzled by emo-rock bands, go hands on with the DS and even have a sample of Wii action.
Whilst gamers go crazy over previews of the latest DS titles and have exclusive music from "emo-rock" band Hawthorne Heights, accompanied by Relient K, Emery, Plain White Ts and the Sleeping. Like many of the acts from previous tours, band members are known to be huge Nintendo fans; bringing two of their most loved passions together in a "fusion" of gaming and music.
"Nintendo always picks great rock bands, and we are happy to follow in that tradition this year. But mainly, I am an old-school video game nerd. I still have my NES with over 500 games. I love everything Mario, and I accept no substitute. Bring on Wii!"
JT Woodruff, Hawthorne Heights
More interestingly, Nintendo's press release promises a "provide a sneak peek of Nintendo's upcoming console, Wii." Whether this means a glass-encased Wii surrounded by drooling fans merely looking, or a glass-encased Wii with drooling fans actually playing upcoming Wii games is uncertain.
