Sonic Adventure DX: Directors CutGame Data CommentSo more screens emerge of what is hopefully going to be a return to form for Sonic. After the poor GameCube launch title, SEGA will be looking to impress this time round. From the screens it is clear that lots of work has been put into the game. There is loads happening, and it all seems to look pretty smart. A problem with earlier versions was the camera; you would be zipping along at a good rate of knots and all of a sudden the camera would disappear behind a wall making you completely loose your bearings, not the sort of thing you want to happen really, however, this time round more care has been taken in the game mechanics. Everything is much more solid and reliable. The camera, although still not perfect, follows you with a reasonable degree of accuracy and allows play to move more smoothly. The speed of the game is fantastic, and thanks to everything being so busy on screen you really get a sense of speed and panic, whilst supposedly being in perfect control. Whilst little is known about this latest game in the Sonic saga nobody is expecting a revolution, just an improvement. Screenshots SourceIGN Cube
